Two painted sculptures of seated sannyasi figures sit side by side on a ledge in front of green leaves. Both have long dark hair piled up, orange-yellow skin tone, white and red tilak markings on the forehead, and white stripe markings on the arms. They wear rudraksha malas around the neck and wrists and have orange-saffron dhoti cloth draped over their legs. Both hold their hands in anjali mudra, palms pressed together at the chest. The figures are statues, not living people, and no identifiable a person is pictured, so the a person field is none.2009-07-07July 07 20092009-07-07July 07 20092009-07-07April 29 20182018-04-29 +1 copiesJuly 07 20092009-07-07September 05 20142014-09-05 +1 copiesAugust 31 20172017-08-31 +1 copiesPhotograph of painted statues on a rocky stage set under a white tent canopy with green leaves overhead. A central seated figure in saffron-orange robes with a red-orange turban and a rudraksha-style bead necklace holds a rod or staff. Four to five bearded, shirtless male figures flank him, kneeling or seated with palms pressed together in anjali, painted with white markings. The painted stone platform and foliage form a tableau. These are statues, not living people, and the central figure's identity is not established by appearance.2009-07-07April 29 20182018-04-29A bare-chested man with long dreadlocked hair and a full beard stands at left with palms pressed together in anjali, wearing a dark brown rudraksha mala draped over his shoulders and arms. Beside him stands a painted wooden statue of a bearded sage with a tall topknot, rudraksha malas, a red tilak and a striped multicolored dhoti, also in anjali. A garland of braided straw and blue tassels hangs over the archway, and a partly visible sign is mounted on the wall. The setting is a stone temple corridor with whitewashed walls and carved stone panels. The man has distinctive long dreadlocks, rudraksha malas and bare shoulders, but the appearance is not clearly enough established to confirm the page's a person claim, so he is described as a devotee.2018-04-29Outdoor photo beside a stone-built area with grey deity murtis draped in red and pink garlands, one with a golden-yellow and blue garment, set among green trees and small string lights. A bare-chested man with a shaved head and white markings on his arms, wearing an orange cloth wrap, stands with his back to the camera facing a figure in a rust-red robe with a long dreadlocked hairstyle, rudraksha beads at the neck, and yellow flower petals in the hair. The robed figure gestures with open hands in conversation. A green bottle sits on the stone ground in the foreground.2017-09-06A photograph of a staged tableau under a white tent canopy with green leaves overhead. A large seated figure in the centre is a painted statue with a red turban, orange-saffron robe, rudraksha beads and a red-and-gold garland, holding a rudraksha mala and a short staff-like object. Four smaller painted statues of bearded seated figures in orange robes sit around the base in anjali mudra, hands folded in greeting, on a rocky mock-up platform. The statues are figures in a display, not physical people, and the tableau is a decorative set for a Gurupoornima celebration.2009-07-07
