A brick fire pit for a homa is the main subject, its red bricks decorated with yellow and red flowers, green and white painted patterns, and dusted with white powder. Flames rise from the centre of the pit with smoke drifting upward. A small steel vessel with liquid sits on the right ledge, and garlands and marigolds are visible at the right edge. Only partial hands are visible at the upper left, holding a book or papers, and a bare arm appears at the far left edge, so no full person is clearly visible.2015-07-17A close photograph of a homa fire pit built of stacked red-brick blocks dusted with white powder and marked with red kumkum and coloured patterns. A bright flame rises from the centre, and a hand in the upper right, wearing a bangle, pours a liquid from a long golden ladle into the fire. A large polished brass or silver bowl sits on the right, a small metal kalasha-style pot lies in front, and blurred brass oil lamps frame the foreground. No people are fully visible beyond the hand.2015-07-09 +3 copiesClose view of a homa fire burning inside a square fire pit built from brick-coloured blocks, each decorated with white painted lines, dots and small red marks.
