December 12 20112011-12-12Outdoor photo of a riverside ghat with red stone steps during a Maheshwara-style puja. Many participants sit in rows on the steps, most in white ritual clothes, with bare-chested men wearing rudraksha malas and white dhotis. A woman in white with a turquoise shawl and red-framed glasses pours or offers from a small vessel in the foreground. Black stone Shivalingas stand on the steps, each with brass pots and bowls of offerings, some with red flowers. Red flags on poles and a smoky haze rise behind, with more devotees seated on the upper steps. A camera on a tripod is visible at right. No individual is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance cues, so no candidate is marked.2016-12-18June 01 20212021-06-01 +1 copiesOutdoor ritual scene on red-painted stone steps with many black stone shivalingams and brass vessels set out.
