2004 - First Sannyas Deeksha At AdiKailaasa2004-07-02Photograph of a homa ritual at an open-sided hall. A figure in orange robes, a matching orange turban and a long beaded mala sits with hands pressed in prayer before a brick fire pit where a flame burns. Beside him a man in white clothes holds a microphone stand, and a trident stands on the left. Seated devotees in white dhotis and kurtas fill the floor, and a bundled offering of orange cloth lies at the lower left. A dark drape with garlands and a decorated ornamental panel hang behind. Probable Swamiji is the robed figure in orange at the fire pit, identified by orange robes, orange turban and mala. Several people are visible in the scene.2004-07-02A seated figure in an orange saffron robe and orange head covering sits before a stone fire pit (homa kund) with bright flames and yellow flower offerings, holding a silver plate and a small bell. A microphone stands nearby. Behind him, two standing men in white kurtas and a seated man in white clothes attend the ritual, with a trident (trishul) and a garlanded deity murti in the background. Probable Swamiji: the figure has long hair, saffron clothing and a rudraksha mala, and the page states he conducted the homa, so the appearance-based label applies.2004-07-02A homa ritual at AadiKailaasa, Bengaluru, with a brick fire pit decorated in yellow and flowers in the foreground. A long-haired man in orange robes and a multi-strand rudraksha-style mala stands centre, holding a small lit flame, with several men in orange clothing around him and a bare-armed woman in a pink sari kneeling at lower left. Tall brass oil lamps stand at right beside a wooden carved peetha-style seat, and a red curtain forms the backdrop. Swamiji (probable): the centre figure has long swept-back hair, orange robes and a rudraksha mala, cues consistent with the page's label, presiding over the homa.2008-10-27A warmly lit ritual hall during a homa. A central figure in orange-saffron robes, with long hair, a saffron head wrap and a rudraksha mala, sits before a brick fire pit where flames rise, performing an offering. Behind him stands a deity murti draped in cloth and decorated with flower garlands. A trident rests upright at left, held by a man in white. Other men in white clothing sit on the floor at left and right, hands folded in prayer, with orange cushions and marigold petals on the floor. Swamiji (probable): the saffron-robed central figure has long hair, a saffron head wrap and a rudraksha mala, consistent with the page's account of Swamiji conducting the homa.2004-07-02A homa fire burns in a square brick fire pit with yellow-painted bricks edged in white, decorated with flower petals. A person in an orange-saffron robe with an orange turban and a rudraksha mala sits cross-legged at the fire, hands pressed together in prayer. Behind the pit, seated devotees wear white clothing, one man in a white shirt gesturing with a raised arm at the left edge. Orange cloth offerings sit in brass plates to the left. A trident stands behind the fire, with a decorated orange ceremonial canopy and a lattice window in the background. The scene is a fire ritual during a yagna.2004-07-02Photo of a homa fire ceremony in an indoor temple hall, with a large bright fire burning on the floor in the centre. An elderly bearded man with a shaved head and white beard, wearing a red-and-gold shawl over a bare upper body, pours offerings into the flames with his hands. Beside him, a man in yellow dhoti and bare chest assists with the offering. Around the fire are plates of fruit, flowers, grains and a brass kalasha. Standing devotees in orange and saffron robes and a man in white kurta with folded hands watch and pray; a man in yellow dhoti at right holds up a phone to photograph. Rudraksha malas are visible on several people. Roughly eight to ten people are visible.2008-10-09July 06 20152015-07-06November 18 20132013-11-18A photograph of a large indoor ritual gathering under a corrugated roof decorated with paper lanterns and leafy garlands. Seated on a red-cushioned dais in orange robes, a central figure holds a golden trident-topped staff while a woman in orange sits beside him. Other saffron-clad figures with rudraksha malas flank the dais, and a priest in white kneels before white-powdered offering trays laid with fruit, flowers and brass items. Behind, a golden kalasha and deity murti sit on a decorated stand. Hundreds of seated devotees, many in white and some in saffron, fill the hall. A poster-like backdrop with photographs hangs on the far wall.2008-12-262004 - First Sannyas Deeksha At AdiKailaasa2004-07-02December 19 20162016-12-19
