Outdoor photo beneath a large spreading tree with green leaves. In the centre, a figure in an orange-saffron robe and matching orange head wrap leans forward, pressing or stirring a long bamboo-like pole into a square concrete base or pit at ground level. Nearby, a man in a red cap and white sleeveless vest watches, and two men in white kurta-style clothing stand behind at a raised concrete platform. Loose red earth, a dug hole and a blue bag lie on the ground. The scene suggests a ritual installation at a sacred tree site, but the figure's identity is not established by visible cues beyond the orange robe and head wrap.2003-04-02April 02 20032003-04-02 +1 copies2003 -Glimpses From Various Programs2003-01-01 +1 copiesJuly 07 20092009-07-07 +1 copiesDecember 30 20162016-12-30Outdoor photo of a land puja at an open dry site with bare trees and palms behind. A figure in orange robes and a white flower garland with a red-bead mala stands bowed over a small pit in the earth, holding a leafy branch overhead, while a second person in orange with long dark hair kneels at left holding a sprig of leaves. Two men stand at right: one in white dhoti and shirt with a tilak and rudraksha mala, the other in light grey shirt and trousers with a mala, hands pressed together. Colourful flower petals and yellow marigolds form a ring around the pit on a white kolam drawing; red bricks and a woven mat lie nearby. Several other people in white stand in the background.2010-02-15November 24 20062006-11-24Outdoor ground-breaking or consecration ritual on a sandy site framed by grey concrete blocks. A central figure in an orange-red sleeveless top and wrap, with long dark hair and a red, white and purple flower garland, grips a tall silver ceremonial rod planted in the sand. To the left, a bald man in orange robes and a gold bead necklace extends his arm. A kneeling attendant in orange and gold beads tends silver ritual vessels on a wooden tray, and another attendant in orange holds a tray of flower petals. Two brass pots with mango-leaf and coconut tops sit on the blocks, and rose petals are scattered across the ground. Behind them, a crowd of men and women in white kurtas and dhotis stands before a black screen and trees.2009-07-08 +1 copiesOutdoor photo of a construction site for a temple foundation. A long-haired man in a saffron-orange sleeveless robe and orange sandals stands at the edge of an excavated trench, holding a wooden staff in one hand and gesturing outward with the other. Below him, workers dig in the trench: one in a white shirt and striped head cloth bends down, another in a white vest and grey shorts stands in the pit, and a man in a grey shirt stands at the left edge. A man in a striped shirt and checked green lungi stands on the right near a raised earthen platform. A large dressed granite block lies on the ground in the foreground, with trees and shrubs behind the excavation.2006-10-25July 07 20092009-07-07 +1 copiesOutdoor photo at a dusty construction site beside a green metal gate. A bald man in a white dhoti and orange shawl stands at right, holding a steel plate of flowers. A figure in a saffron-orange robe with long swept-back hair bends forward, pouring liquid from a small vessel onto two stacked grey stone blocks, with a clay pot wrapped in flower garlands beside them. A woman in a yellow-and-cream sari and a man in a white shirt stand with palms pressed together. Five boys in casual clothes watch from the left. A red and orange flower garland lies on the ground in the foreground.2008-04-04A photograph of an outdoor construction site with bare sandy ground and a heap of grey sand. In the centre, a person with long, dark, loose hair wears an orange saffron robe draped over one shoulder and is bent forward, gripping the top of a tall dark cylindrical pipe or post set upright in the ground. Behind them, two men in white kurta and dhoti stand watching, one with an orange shawl over his shoulder. Behind them are a white building, a palm tree, stacked red gas cylinders and a red-roofed structure. The person's face is partly obscured by their hair and posture.2006-09-19
