A photograph of a ritual at a gold-and-silver throne setting. A devotee in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, bare-chested with a rudraksha-style necklace, holds a lit aarti lamp with a flame toward a seated figure. The seated man wears a rust-red turban, rust-red robes, a large gold pendant and beaded necklaces, and has his palms joined in a namaste gesture. He sits on a leopard-print cushion beside a silver lion sculpture. Behind them is a gold deity murti with arms folded, a backdrop of yellow, red and white garlands, and a magenta cloth. Small offerings, a lamp and a flower-strewn floor appear in front.2017-12-01Photograph of a temple shrine during a lamp offering. A standing devotee in orange robes, bare-shouldered with white sacred ash marks, bows and extends a silver lamp toward a seated figure. The seated man wears a red-orange turban, red-orange shawl and a rudraksha mala, and has his palms pressed together in namaste; the visibility of his face and the cues here are not enough for a confident appearance-based identification. Behind them stand a golden deity murti with raised hands and a decorated golden arch, a garlanded image with yellow and red flower garlands, and a silver lion figure on a leopard-print seat. Brass oil lamps are lit in the foreground.2017-12-02A photograph of a ceremonial moment in front of a decorated altar with a deity murti behind pink and white draped ornaments. A seated person in a red-maroon turban and red-maroon garment with gold border sits in a gold-carved throne, hands joined in namaste with head bowed. A standing young man in an orange dhoti with gold border, orange turban and rudraksha mala holds a lit oil lamp on a metal stand as an aarti offering. Another person sits at the lower right edge, partially visible, with a red cloth.2015-09-10A seated figure in orange-saffron robes and an orange head wrap sits on an ornate gilded throne with carved floral and scroll patterns, against a red backdrop and gold drapery. A priest with a shaved head, wearing a red-orange dhoti and shawl and sacred thread marks on his arm, faces him and holds a lit multi-flame aarti lamp with flames rising. A silver trident stands in front of the throne, and a tiger-striped cloth covers the seat. The scene suggests an aarti being offered to the seated figure during a ritual. The seated figure has long hair, a beaded necklace and rudraksha-style beads, which fits Swamiji (probable) as a seated honoured guest or teacher being offered aarti by the priest.2013-02-11May 13 20132013-05-13 +1 copiesA temple-style hall with a seated man on a red cushioned throne receiving an aarti from a woman in an orange sari-style wrap. The seated man wears a rust-red turban, a red-brown robe, layered rudraksha malas and bracelets, and holds his hands together in a namaste gesture before a microphone stand. The woman bends forward holding a lit oil lamp on a silver tray, with a silver elephant-shaped stand nearby. Behind them stand a golden deity murti and a large floral backdrop of yellow, red, pink and white garlands with a golden figure in a crowned headdress to the left. A few visible people are present, but the seated man is the central figure of the ritual.2017-11-28January 20 20132013-01-20Photograph of a homa-style ritual setting. A shaved-headed priest in orange-brown robes and a rudraksha mala, wearing glasses, holds a small silver tray with offerings toward a seated man in a red-and-gold garment, red floral garlands and a gold necklace. The seated man has long swept-back hair, a crown-like headpiece, and extends a hand over the tray. Behind them stand a large ornate gold throne with a deity murti draped in red and yellow garlands, a silver staff, gold kalasha and brass lamps.2015-07-17October 18 20152015-10-18September 17 20172017-09-17January 24 20132013-01-24 +1 copiesFebruary 11 20132013-02-11
