A seated figure on a gilded throne with a tiger-striped cloth is garlanded with white jasmine and red flower strands, wearing a maroon garment, with eyes closed and head bowed. A man in a grey-and-white striped shirt and dark trousers reaches up to hold a cream-gold silk cloth above the seated figure's head, while another man holds a small packet in one hand. Behind them a bronze hanging bell, a man in a white shirt with palms pressed together, and a man in a light-blue striped shirt with a wristwatch are visible in a dim hall. The scene suggests a blessing ceremony, with the gold-and-white draped cloth held overhead.2013-04-09April 09 20132013-04-09A photograph of a ritual in a golden temple setting. A seated figure on an ornate gold throne with leopard-print and tiger-striped cushions wears a rust-red robe and a long white garland, and bears white vibhuti marks on the forehead. He places his hand on the head of a kneeling man who is bare-chested, wearing a white dhoti with gold border, a rudraksha mala, and white paste markings. The kneeling man holds a brass vessel. Behind them, a woman in an orange-red sari with a rudraksha necklace stands near golden lion-headed fixtures and hanging brass bells.
