A large black iron wok sits on a rusted metal stove stand on a dirt floor, filled with bubbling hot oil. A perforated white metal frying skimmer with a long handle rests in the oil. Yellow stains dot the skimmer and the floor. Behind it stands a dark metal vessel, and at the upper left a dark cooking drum. No people are visible, and the scene suggests food being fried in a community kitchen setting.2012-01-06December 15 20172017-12-15A photograph of a large shallow brass or bronze cooking vessel resting on a metal stand over a dark stone floor, containing a pale residue with a cloudy white patch in the centre. A long dark metal ladle with a wooden or black handle lies across the rim of the vessel. No people are visible; the scene shows a kitchen or cooking area with a larger copper vessel partly visible at the top of the frame.2006-11-10February 02 20182018-02-02 +1 copiesNovember 09 20062006-11-09A close photograph of a large black iron wok filled with bubbling golden oil, with many pale dough pieces frying and foaming across the surface. At the upper left edge, a partially visible hand reaches into the pan, handling the food. The camera is angled low over the pan so the oil and frothing bubbles fill most of the frame. No people are fully visible beyond the hand, and no deity, altar or ritual setting is shown.2009-10-17A large black iron kadai of oil sits on an outdoor cooking setup, with a perforated metal skimmer resting on its rim. Several golden, puffed puris float on the surface, and bubbles rise from the hot oil. A blue-and-red Parachute-style oil tin and a red cooking-gas container are visible at the edges. No people are visible in the frame.2014-07-23January 06 20122012-01-06July 13 20132013-07-13 +1 copiesOctober 08 20172017-10-08Close-up photo of a dark iron kadai filled with bubbling oil, frying round, pale batter fritters that are puffing and turning golden. Several fritters float in the golden-yellow oil while others rise to the surface in a foam of tiny bubbles. No people are visible; the frame shows only the pan, the oil and the food being cooked as part of preparing naivedyam offerings.2009-10-17November 09 20062006-11-09
