A photograph taken through a dirty or fogged vehicle window of a heavily carved dark stone temple tower wrapped in blue metal scaffolding. Ornate sculpted panels cover the tiered stone base and walls, with a rounded dome and a small multicoloured shrine top visible behind. To the right a white building and a partly visible blue hoarding stand beside the scaffolding, and a man in light clothing is faintly visible at the lower right. No a person candidate is visible in the frame.

A large, weathered stone temple tower. Its tiered, carved stonework shows many niches and tiers, and the hazy, overcast light softens its dark surface. A cream plastered building with arched colonnaded windows stands at right, and a white wall sits at lower right. Only partial heads and shoulders appear at the bottom edge of the frame, too little to count reliably. The scaffolding indicates restoration work on the temple structure.

A large stone gopuram temple tower wrapped in bamboo scaffolding under hazy white sky, with palm trees on the right and a tiled rooftop in the foreground. No people are visible. The tower's upper tiers are carved with figures and niches, and a tall metal pole stands against its face. A low whitewashed wall and a red-tiled roof sit to the left and right of the base.

A large dark carved stone temple chariot, its tiers covered in dense relief sculpture of figures and deities, stands on wooden wheels in a street. Thick rope is wound around the base and metal scaffolding surrounds it, with workers standing on the frame at the top. Two women walk beside the chariot, one in a green blouse and white sari with a braid, the other in a blue sari with a red border and a flower in her hair. A man in a green checked shirt walks past on the right, and a passing bus and parked car are visible in the background.

Photograph of the weathered sandstone upper shikhara of a Hindu temple against an overcast white sky. Tiered horizontal mouldings with rows of small pointed projections curve up toward a large ribbed amalaka dome at the top. Carved figures are set into the stonework, including a seated deity figure at the crown, a face-like mask on the mid-tier, and standing sculpted figures along the lower courses. Dense ornamental carving covers the lower section. No people are present.

Close view of carved wooden temple architecture with dense relief sculpture. Multiple tiers of stacked wooden pillars and brackets frame figures of deities and attendants carved in relief, with a lion-like guardian figure and a pair of standing figures in the centre. Weathered brown wood with a tiled roof edge and a metal pipe at the left. No people are visible in the frame.

A photograph of the Konark Sun Temple in Odisha, a massive sandstone temple with a stepped, pyramidal roof and walls carved in dense horizontal bands of relief sculpture. Small figures stand and walk at the base and entrance of the structure. Stone chariot wheels are visible in the carved plinth at the bottom. Several visitors in white, blue, orange and red clothing are scattered around the temple grounds, some climbing steps at the right. Green shrubs and a leafy branch frame the left edge under an overcast sky.

Close view of the weathered grey stone exterior of a temple, with tiered mouldings, carved floral and scroll bands along the upper walls, and a small Om symbol painted in yellow on a lower ledge. At the bottom edge, the top of an orange-and-red cloth worn by a partially visible person is seen. No other people are visible in the frame.
