A seated man in an orange-and-gold draped robe with a red shawl places his right palm on the forehead of a man in a white shirt who kneels with hands raised in a blessing gesture. The seated figure has swept-back dark hair and a red tilak mark; the recipient has short dark hair and a moustache. Behind them a garland of yellow, red and green flowers hangs over a deity image, with a blue cloth and orange drapery visible. Swamiji (probable): the seated man bears long swept-back hair, saffron-orange ceremonial dress and a shawl, consistent with the page's description of a diksha or blessing moment.2013-11-10A photo of a priest in a rust-red and gold-bordered shawl with ritual script print pressing his palm to the forehead of a man in a white kurta during a blessing. The priest sits in front of a golden deity murti and a garland of yellow, red and white flowers, with a blue silk cloth beside them. A woman in a red-brown sari with a rudraksha mala watches at the right edge. The setting suggests a satsang or darshan, with the priest's bare upper arm visible.2013-11-10A seated man in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala necklace and yellow tilak on his forehead raises his hand to touch the forehead of a younger man in a white shirt and red-orange shawl. A red cushion and draped orange cloth sit beside the seated figure, with a patterned hanging behind. The seated man has long swept-back hair and ornate ceremonial beads, consistent with the page's reference to a person, though the identification is uncertain from appearance alone. Another person's face is partly visible at the lower right edge.2014-01-14A seated figure in saffron-orange robes with a bun, rudraksha mala and beaded earrings places his right palm on the forehead of a man in a white shirt with an orange shawl, who stands with palms pressed together in respectful greeting. A silver staff stands between them, a golden lion-headed throne armrest sits in the foreground, and a paper with writing is held in the seated figure's left hand. The setting is an indoor hall with wooden panelling and a framed colourful wall hanging. Appearance-based label: a person seated in darshan with a devotee; the saffron robes, rudraksha mala and ceremonial golden throne are the qualifying cues.2014-05-12November 10 20132013-11-10July 17 20152015-07-17A photograph of a seated man in saffron-orange robes with a gold ceremonial necklace and a bare upper torso, smiling as he places his right hand on the forehead of a short-haired young man in white kurta and orange shawl. A man with long dark hair, an orange-red cloth draped over his shoulder, a gold garland, and a yellow-orange forehead mark extends his right hand in blessing toward the bowed head of a short-haired man in a white kurta with an orange-red shawl. The blessed man wears a wristwatch and glasses and presses his palm forward. The first man holds a small white paper slip in his left hand. Gold-coloured ritual objects and a gold deity murti are visible in the foreground, with a gold and beige backdrop behind them. The blessing gesture matches a padapuja-style darshan blessing.2014-08-02September 28 20132013-09-28A photograph of two men in a close one-on-one blessing. On the left, a man with long dark hair tied back wears a rust-red shawl over a gold-bordered garment and has a yellow sandalwood mark on his forehead; he is seated, raising his right hand palm-out while his other hand rests on the crown of the head of a bald man on the right. The bald man wears a white kurta with a rudraksha-style mala at his neck and bows forward with his eyes closed, hands pressed together at the top of his head. A gold bangle is visible on the blessing man's wrist, and a red cushioned seat and gold ornament are visible at the edges. The setting is a warm-toned room with wooden doors and a red banner behind. Appearance-based label: a person for the man in the rust-red shawl, shown in person giving a blessing to a devotee.2014-01-13July 08 20132013-07-08
