July 18 20132013-07-18Inside a temple shrine, devotees in saffron-orange robes perform pada-puja before a gilded throne draped with a tiger-skin cloth. A framed portrait on the throne shows a smiling man with an orange turban and orange robe, labelled as a portrait with a printed caption. Two painted orange-skinned guardian figures with gold crowns, necklaces and green sashes flank the doorway. On the left, a tiered brass lamp with many lit wicks is held by a priest in white and orange, and a small brass vessel sits on the floor. Gold pillars, a hanging umbrella and bells frame the shrine.2013-07-26August 03 20132013-08-03September 27 20132013-09-27October 23 20132013-10-23September 27 20132013-09-27September 07 20132013-09-07July 26 20132013-07-26A photo of a temple aarti scene before a gilded throne in a shrine room. In the foreground, a shaved-headed priest in red-brown robes holds a large multi-tiered lamp of lit oil lamps aloft with both hands. Behind him, two women in orange saris sit on the floor, and several robed devotees in orange and maroon sit in front of the throne. The ornate gold throne has a tiger-skin design and a framed portrait on its back showing a smiling man in an orange turban and orange garments. Flanking the shrine are painted figures of deity murtis with multiple arms in orange and green, colourful painted columns, and brass oil lamps on stands. Nearby is a tray of offerings on the floor.2013-09-20A photograph inside a temple shrine during a puja. Centre frame is a framed portrait of a smiling man wearing an orange turban and orange robe, set on a gold throne-like base with a tiger-skin cloth, garlanded with yellow and multicoloured flower strands and flanked by two gold lion figures. Two painted dvarapala guardian statues stand on either side in orange dhotis, gold jewellery and green sashes, holding lotus buds. Foreground at left, a priest holding a tiered silver aarti lamp with lit oil lamps. Three seated figures in orange and maroon robes and one white-clad attendant tend the shrine at the bottom of the frame.2013-09-07July 10 20142014-07-10A priest in a white dhoti with a bare upper body and a yellow sacred thread raises a lit lamp toward a shrine. Behind him, a framed portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" sits on a golden throne before two painted deity murti figures with multiple arms, holding ritual objects. Several women in orange saris sit on a red carpet with hands joined in prayer, and brass oil lamps stand beside the shrine. The scene suggests an aarti at the altar.2014-04-10
