Four men work on the sign: on the left, two men in casual shirts and jeans push long wooden poles against the board; in the centre a man in white dhoti and shirt with a yellow shawl digs or tamps at the post base; on the right a man in white dhoti and shirt with a yellow shawl hauls on a long pole. A partly visible green signboard reading a country-side environment advertisement stands at the left edge. No a person candidate is visibly present.2010-02-03February 03 20102010-02-03A dusty roadside scene beside a large blank brown billboard mounted on wooden posts. Four to five men in white dhotis and white shirts, several with yellow shawls or sashes, work near the sign: one carries a long pole, others handle poles and debris. Palm trees, dry grass and pink bougainvillea surround the site. A smaller green-framed sign on the left shows a woman in a blue top and the text Timberleaf Resort Living European Style. The men are workers or devotees preparing the venue area, with no visible ritual activity; no person here is identifiable as a person.2010-02-03Outdoor photo of a dirt pathway in front of a white temple gateway with a tiered gopuram-style tower. Three people carry or steady a long bamboo pole diagonally across the scene: two men in white dhotis and yellow shawls, and a long-haired person in white robes with arms folded in the centre. A woman in an orange sari stands at left in the foreground. Bright pink bougainvillea and green trees frame the path, and a blank rust-coloured signboard stands at left. Steps lead up to the temple with a black gate and red parking sign. Three to four physical people are visible; no clearly identifiable a person candidate with sufficient cues.2010-02-03Outdoors on bare dirt, four men perform a ground ritual around a tall white-and-red striped wooden pole set into a decorated base of coloured powder rangoli with scattered pink flower petals. On the left, a man in white dhoti and shawl with a rudraksha mala crouches and digs with a long stick. Next to him, a seated man in orange with a rudraksha mala tends the base. A third man in orange kneels beside the pole. On the right, a man with long swept-back dark hair, bare-chested except for a maroon garment, with a dark shawl draped over his shoulder, grips the pole with both hands. Yellow brick pavers line the foreground, and bamboo and greenery fill the background.2016-10-06A group of people dressed in white clothing assemble a temporary structure of bare wooden poles and crossbeams on a dusty open ground in front of a red multi-storey building. Several figures stand around the frame: a woman in a red sash and white dress at left, a boy in white kurta and white dhoti in the centre-left, a person crouching and tying the pole joints in the middle, and an older woman with short light hair in white clothing directing the work at right. A tall bamboo pole rests diagonally on the ground in the foreground, with a green tree and open sky behind. Scattered stones and a few other poles lie around the site.2016-08-18 +1 copiesOutdoor ashram courtyard of sandy ground with a blue tarpaulin and banana leaves at lower left. Several young men in white dhotis and white kurtas wear rudraksha malas; one holds a bundle of dried straw while another steadies a blue pole strung between bamboo uprights decorated with green banana plants. A yellow tarp lies in front, a microphone stand stands at left, and a barefoot man in a brown shirt and grey trousers is at far left. Mud-walled huts, palm trees and a bamboo fence form the background.2009-09-25Outdoor photograph at an open construction site beneath palm trees and a corrugated metal shed roof. In the foreground a man in a white shirt and white dhoti, wearing glasses and a dark patterned scarf draped over his shoulder, stands facing the camera. Behind him a young man in white shirt and white dhoti stands at a tall metal pole, hands raised to a green cloth, while another man in white clothes stands near a stack of metal drums wrapped in purple cloth. A figure in white draped in white fabric stands near the shed wall, and a partially visible person in white walks at the left edge. Loose red earth, bricks and concrete blocks cover the ground.2006-12-22Outdoor ritual at a dirt-ground ashram site where a tall red-and-white wooden pole is being planted into the earth. A man in a long, dark-red robe with long, dreadlocked hair stands at right, holding the pole upright with both hands. Beside him, a man in a white dhoti with gold borders bends forward, pressing a long iron rod into the ground at the pole's base. Two men in orange robes with rudraksha malas kneel and crouch nearby, and a bald man in an orange cloth and beaded necklaces watches at far left. The base is decorated with a colourful rangoli of red, yellow and green powder and scattered pink flower petals, edged with yellow bricks. Bamboo and green shrubs stand behind, with a building and clear sky in the background.2016-10-06
