Many people, mostly in white clothes, walk along the path, with men in white shirts and dhotis and women in white saris. Several saffron-orange flags are raised above the crowd. In the centre a figure in white with a shawl is walking near a decorated umbrella-like canopy in red, blue and yellow, with a small palanquin or ratha-style structure beneath it. Onlookers stand on the left in colourful saris and salwar. Many people in plain white clothes, including white saris and white dhotis or kurtas, walk in a long, dense crowd, with some women in colourful saris of red, pink and purple. Several wear white beaded or bead-chain necklaces. Orange and saffron flags flutter above the crowd on tall poles, and a decorated banner with a garland-like border arches over the procession. Green banana leaves and a strip of festoons line the right edge beside the path. Most people appear to be devotees walking in a group, with several raising their hands. The scene is roughly 60-100 people, most visible at the centre.2008-01-01A large outdoor crowd gathers on a dusty ground under trees, mostly men and women in white clothing with lanyards.
