Beside him, a shaved-headed young priest in orange robes with white forehead marks sits cross-legged on a low wooden platform, hands joined in a mudra over a metal bowl and silver vessels, a brass teapot and covered dish. To the right, an ornate brass deity murti with a decorated arch and garland stands on a draped white and green-bordered cloth, with brass lamps and a small brass kalasha-like vessel. A worker in white sits in the background among stone pillars and foliage. Ritual abhishekam-style puja setting.2007-02-23February 23 20072007-02-23A priest with a shaved head, white dhoti and shawl, a gold and bead necklace, and tilak marks sits cross-legged before a white statue dressed in an orange robe, bead mala and gold ornament, its right hand raised in blessing. Behind the statue is a garlanded deity murti with yellow and orange flower garlands and a silver-embroidered backdrop. In front stand a brass oil lamp, a silver dish, small brass vessels and a large steel offering tray. In the left foreground a shaved-headed priest in white dhoti and shawl, bare-chested with a gold chain, sits and pours liquid from a silver vessel toward a central figure. The central figure is a seated statue in saffron-orange robes, an orange turban, a beaded necklace and a garland of yellow and red flowers. Behind it stand a tall golden deity murti with a red cloth backdrop, a yellow and red flower garland hung with large yellow beads, and a white draped cloth on the right. Brass lamps, silver bowls and a metal tray with flowers sit on the altar in front.2011-01-17February 23 20072007-02-23A temple ritual scene beside a stone shivalinga on a raised platform. A shaved-headed man in white ritual clothes kneels at the left, hands pressed together and head bowed toward a tall-haired figure in orange-saffron robes with a red tilak on the forehead, who stands with one hand raised over the kneeling man's head. The standing figure has long, swept-back dark hair and bare shoulders, and appears to be a sannyasi or ritual officiant, a person by appearance cues. Behind them a second orange-robed attendant and a white-clad figure tend the shivalinga, which is being bathed with water. Brass vessels sit on the floor, a red cloth hangs at left, a grey water tank stands above, and ornate green and gold drapery and a metal pedestal appear at right.2007-02-23Outdoor ritual photo beside a carved copper-coloured kalasha-style vessel draped with marigold garlands and dried grass, under tall coconut palms. A figure with long dark hair wears an orange saffron robe and a rudraksha mala, holding a small oil lamp in one hand and a brass bell in the other. Beside him a shaven-headed man in white ritual dress with a yellow flower garland holds a tray of marigold petals. A bald man is partly visible at the bottom edge.2011-10-07February 16 20072007-02-16October 06 20112011-10-06
