May 04 20062006-05-04Wide view of a large hall with a white draped ceiling and red curtains, where a seated speaker in orange clothing sits on an ornate gold-and-cream chair at a raised stage, gesturing with one hand. Rows of seated attendees in white clothes with yellow and orange accents sit on orange floor mats, many taking notes, while a few wear orange robes. Garlands and decorations line the stage edge and hanging tassels decorate the ceiling. A cameraman with a tripod stands at left. The speaker appears to be a sannyasi on the stage, identity uncertain from appearance alone.2010-01-05May 04 20062006-05-04Photograph of a children's residential programme hall with a large crowd seated on mats facing a raised stage. A large backdrop shows a glowing, enlarged portrait of a figure in white. In front of it sits a central throne-like seat with a small figure on it, flanked by a kalasha-style offering and a lamp. Three attendants in white dhotis and shirts stand on the stage. Two framed portraits on the side walls show smiling figures, one in white turban and one in a white turban with ornate collar. Foreground seated children wear white, yellow and green clothes; an older woman in an orange sari sits at right. The walls are blue and orange.2006-05-01March 03 20112011-03-03A large hall with a corrugated arched roof and blue walls holds a seated audience of children and adults on blue mats, with many visible people sitting cross-legged in white, pink, yellow and blue clothing. At the front, two men in white kurtas stand on a raised stage, one gesturing with a raised arm and one holding a microphone near a portrait. A large framed portrait shows a smiling figure in a white turban with a rudraksha mala, and a gilded throne-like chair with a canopy sits beneath a large brown banner on the stage. A small portrait labelled with a printed caption hangs on a yellow panel to the left. Speakers and a standing fan are placed around the stage.2006-05-01Large indoor hall under a white tent ceiling with hanging decorative pennants, filled with a seated audience of many young people, mostly women and girls with long braided hair, dressed in white and pastel salwar or sari garments. In the foreground a man in an orange-saffron garment stands at the left edge with a microphone. At the front, a banner shows a saffron-clothed figure in red and a grid of small photographs, with the text 'Bhakti leads to Mukti'. Two people in white sit on a raised stage beneath the banner, with a red carpet and a small floral arrangement.2007-12-25February 24 20072007-02-24A photograph of a Little Anandas children's programme in a hall with a blue wall and a purple floor. Thirty or more girls in colourful salwar kameez, many with long braided hair, sit cross-legged on the floor facing the front, several writing in notebooks. A man in a light grey shirt stands at the front gesturing toward a blackboard. At the right, a large framed portrait of a smiling man in a saffron-tinted turban and robe with a long mala hangs above a seated figure in orange robes on an ornate throne with a small umbrella. A white-clad person stands near the throne, and a standing fan is at the right.2006-05-05Indoor hall photographed from the back of a seated crowd of children and adults on a blue mat. On a raised orange-edged stage, a large backdrop shows a glowing, enlarged portrait of a figure with a shaved head and saffron-toned robes, and beneath it sits a golden ornate throne with a golden umbrella, holding a small figure. Several people in white clothing stand on the stage and to the left near a smaller portrait of a figure in a white turban and purple background. Audience members wear pink, yellow, green and purple outfits, with many girls having long braids. A blue wall and a wooden-framed roof complete the hall.2006-05-01A photograph of a seated discourse in a thatched-roof hall with white walls and a terracotta-tiled floor. On a raised stage draped in orange cloth, a speaker in orange robes sits behind a white-draped table with a microphone stand and a small vase of red flowers. Above and behind him hangs a framed portrait of a woman in orange robes seated in a garden, in front of dark red curtains. Several people sit cross-legged on the floor facing the stage: women in white and cream saris and a younger woman in an orange garment. Ceiling fans hang from the thatch and a standing pedestal fan stands at the right. A small black sign rests at the front of the audience area. Overall the scene shows a satsang-style talk in progress.2010-02-06Photograph of an indoor hall with a raised red-and-white stage backed by a navy blue curtain. A figure in orange robes sits on an ornate golden throne with a red cushion, a brass lamp and small brass objects before him. Rows of seated devotees, mostly women in white clothes with orange shawls and long braids, face the stage from the foreground. A man in white with an orange shawl stands at right beside a microphone stand and camera equipment. A pedestal fan and a hanging lantern are visible near the stage. A person in white with a pale shawl sits on the lower steps. The figure on the throne is shown in an appearance-based label of a person because of the orange robe and the presentation on the throne, but the face and build are not clear enough for certainty.2006-12-10
