A long-haired man in a rust-orange dhoti and a red-and-gold rudraksha mala with a ceremonial gold necklace stands at the centre, holding a small bundle of white flowers and looking down at the fire. The presentation of this central figure (long swept hair, rudraksha and gold adornments, orange ritual dress) matches the a person cues, shown as a person officiating. A shaved-headed priest kneels at right holding a lamp of flame, another man in orange holds a silver bowl at left, and a priest in maroon with white tripundra marks stands at far right. Large garlands of marigolds and roses fill the foreground, with a visible fire pit in front of the central figure.2013-05-19February 07 20162016-02-07January 03 20152015-01-03A photograph of a homa fire ritual inside a hall with a tiled floor covered in woven mats. A square brick fire pit with a burning flame sits in the centre. A man in an orange robe with a shawl stands at the pit, while a woman in a purple sari with a shawl nearby assists with offerings. Around them, priests in dark red and orange dhotis wear rudraksha and gold-bead necklaces, and others wear white dhotis. On the right, an ornate golden-and-red deity palanquin or altar stands with a lion figure and offering trays of lit lamps.2015-09-14
