A photograph of a dusty roadside lined with tents and vehicles, with a column of men walking barefoot in white kurtas and dhotis, many wearing red turbans and red scarves. Some carry blue cloth bags and white bundles. Uniformed police officers in khaki stand along the road, one holding a long staff. A white-and-red striped canopy and a red flag stand in the background under a clear blue sky, and a banner in Hindi is strung across a stall. The scene resembles a devotee procession on a pilgrimage road.2013-02-07A dusty road procession crowded with many people walking away from the camera under a clear blue sky, lined with tents, banners, and utility poles. In the foreground, a man in an orange shirt and orange shawl wears an ID badge, beside a woman in a red-and-white dupatta and glasses. To the right, a woman in yellow with an orange shawl and a man in yellow dhoti walk with hands folded near their chests. Robed sadhus in saffron and orange garments walk at left, some with orange turbans, and a man in white kurta and dhoti stands among them. A pink-framed portrait banner is visible at left edge and yellow and red flags fly on the right. No identifiable a person is clearly visible.2013-02-07A large procession moves along a dusty dirt road at a crowded festival ground under a hazy blue sky, with rows of tents, parked white vans and a few cars behind. In the foreground a woman in a green top and orange-red head wrap raises her hand, beside a man in white with an orange shawl and a woman in white with a camera bag. Several people in white kurtas and dhotis carry tall decorated staffs and small umbrella-like parasols in orange, red and green. A man with a curly afro wears an orange shawl over white, and a cameraperson with a video camera walks among them. Vendors' flags and banners line the route in the background.January 02 20092009-01-02February 07 20132013-02-07December 27 20082008-12-27Street procession in a village under bright sunlight with power lines overhead. In the foreground a figure in an orange-saffron robe with a long orange turban and a gold-beaded necklace walks at the left, appearing to gesture toward the crowd; the appearance cues are a distinctive turban and ornate necklace, so this is a probable Swamiji figure. Behind him devotees in white clothes carry brass or silver vessels on their heads, and a woman in a white sari with a gold border holds a vessel aloft. Orange and saffron flags flutter among the marchers, and a child in a checked shirt watches from the left edge.2005-12-31Outdoor procession on a dusty road at dusk, with saffron-robed monastics walking in a group under a multicoloured canopy with tassels and a yin-yang motif. In the centre, a monk in orange robes wears a white and orange garland and carries a brass kalasha vessel, while others in orange and rust-coloured robes walk beside him. Men in white kurtas and white dhotis stand at the left, and crowds of onlookers in white and light clothing line the road. A yellow ceremonial umbrella with a red emblem is visible behind, and scaffolding and poles frame the background. A procession for the Brahmotsavam festival is suggested by the setting, though the photo itself shows only the walking group and canopy.2009-01-02April 22 20162016-04-22February 10 20132013-02-10A large crowd of devotees processes along a dusty roadside lined with tents and temporary stalls, under a hazy sky. Many carry metal pots or vessels with yellow flowers on their heads, while the lead man in a white kurta wears an orange-red garland and holds a pot overhead.
