January 01 20132013-01-01Outdoor photo at a tree-shaded courtyard with a dark polished stone platform. A central man stands barefoot on a red mat with palms pressed together in namaskar, wearing a saffron-orange dhoti and a thick red-and-white flower garland, with a red tilak on his forehead and long swept-back hair; he has the appearance of a probable Swamiji and a long-haired ornate presence, with gold necklaces and bangles. Beside him to the left, a man in an orange dhoti holds a brass lamp and a plate of flowers. To the right, a shaved-headed priest in orange holding a tray of offerings and fruit wears a beaded necklace. Behind them, white-clad devotees, several in white dhotis and shirts, stand with hands folded, a woman in a red sari among them, and a boy in a white shirt at the right edge. Large banyan roots frame the scene.2013-01-01Outdoor photo at an ashram grounds beneath large banyan trees with hanging aerial roots. He wears an orange-saffron dhoti, a red and white flower garland, a gold chain and rudraksha-style beads, and holds a silver handbell. Behind him stands a crowd of devotees in white ritual clothes, some in saffron and red saris, with hands folded in anjali. On the right, a shaved-headed priest in orange robes and a garland holds a silver tray with offerings, and another man in white holds a tray of fruit or sweets. This appears to be a pratyaksha pada puja at Bidadi Ashram. Swamiji (probable): the man in the centre shows long hair, saffron dhoti, garland and gold chain.2013-01-01Outdoor procession under a leafy tree canopy on a black mat walkway. A man in the centre wears an orange-red dhoti and shawl, a gold ornate necklace, a flower garland and rudraksha-style beads, with long dark hair swept back, and his palms are pressed together in greeting; he is a probable Swamiji by appearance cues. Around him, devotees in white dhotis with gold borders and orange-saffron robes carry trays of flowers and offerings, and one person photographs with a phone. A decorated palanquin or chariot with garlands and a purple canopy appears at the left. Roughly fifteen to twenty people are visible.2016-12-23Outdoor photo beneath a large spreading banyan-type tree at an ashram grounds. A bearded man with long swept-back hair in a reddish-brown dhoti-style garment, wearing a white and pink flower garland, layered gold necklaces and gold armbands, holds a small brass bell and a plate of ritual items while standing in front of a black mat. Around him, devotees in orange and saffron cloth, a woman in a yellow sari, another woman in green and yellow, and a bald man in an orange dhoti stand with palms pressed together in namaskar. The setting suggests a puja or abhishekam at an outdoor shrine. The man's appearance with long hair, gold ornaments and garland gives a probable identification as a person, performing the ritual with the bell and plate.2016-12-23January 01 20172017-01-01A photograph of an outdoor ritual beneath a large banyan tree. A bearded man with long dark hair, a flower garland and a red-brown wrap stands at the centre holding a silver aarti lamp that emits smoke, with a bell in his other hand; he has a white tilak on his forehead and gold armbands. Swamiji (probable): long swept-back hair, ornate gold armbands and a shawl-style wrap are visible cues, consistent with the page's listing, in a ritual role. Beside and behind him, several devotees in saffron and orange dhotis and rudraksha malas stand with palms pressed in anjali, one shaved-headed man with a white marking. A woman in a cream sari with a flower garland holds a brass tray at left. Smoke rises through the leaves in the background.2016-12-23Outdoor temple scene under a large banyan-type tree with hanging aerial roots.
