A top-down view of many small shallow leaf plates arranged in rows on a woven striped mat, each holding a different dried herb, seed, bark piece, root, flower, powder or mineral. Some plates are pale, some brown, some bright yellow or black. No people are visible; this appears to be an arrangement of yajna offering materials laid out before a fire ritual.

A photograph of a ritual offering setup on a colourful striped woven mat in a dim interior. Dozens of small brass bowls are arranged in a large triangular pattern filled with grains, seeds, dried leaves, powders and small stones, with a red-powder bowl at the lower left. Trays of dried twigs, white shell-like pieces and yellow grains sit at the left edge, and a wooden stand holds metal vessels and a brass lamp. A figure in orange robes is seated behind the arrangement, with a white-clothed person partly visible at the top left. A rock wall glows warm at the left, and a small clear-glass lamp sits on the floor. Such arrangements suggest a homa or tharpanam offering.

Overhead view of a large grid of small clay cups arranged on a woven mat set on bare reddish earth. Each cup holds a different small offering of grains, seeds, dried leaves, spices, roots and powders, in shades of brown, yellow, orange and black. Strings of orange marigold garlands run across the top edge, and a red cloth with a green leaf sits at the left. No people are visible.
