Close photograph of a fire ritual at an altar built from yellow-orange bricks dusted with white markings and scattered with red and orange flowers. Two bare forearms of a person in white clothing extend over the flames, palms angled toward the fire, a thin gold bangle on one wrist. A brass bowl sits on the brick platform, with a small oil lamp, incense sticks and a silver dish of grains at the left edge, and fresh grass stalks laid across the bricks. The person's face and body are not visible. The fire is a homa-style sacred fire, with the hands held above it in a gesture of offering.

A photograph of a homa fire ceremony on a stone-paved courtyard. Two men in white dhoti and kurta with yellow shawls sit on mats. The man on the right, seated before a fire pit built of stacked yellow-brown bricks decorated with white painted patterns and flowers, feeds the flames with a hand. The man on the left, seated behind brass plates of rice and offerings, handles items on a cloth. Brass pots, bowls, a kalasha with mango leaves and a small lamp sit on a silver tray at right, with a red-brown wooden seat behind them.

A shaved-headed priest in white dhoti and shawl with gold-edged border kneels at a square homa fire pit, feeding offerings into flames with a long metal ladle. He wears a gold necklace and a white tilaka on his forehead. Silver pots and a kalasha-style vessel sit on the stone ledge, with green plants and a red-and-white striped wall behind him. Other people are partly visible at the left. This is a fire ritual scene. The priest's identity cannot be determined from appearance.

A man in white ritual clothes with a yellow shawl sits on a carved wooden seat, performing a fire ritual. He holds a brass plate and feeds the flames of a brick-lined fire pit (homa/yagna) decorated with red roses, yellow and pink flowers, and strewn grass. Smoke rises from the fire. A brass bowl, a metal vessel and a wooden box sit nearby, and potted plants stand in the courtyard behind.

Two seated priests in white dhotis and white kurtas with yellow shawls perform a homa at a wooden fire pit with flames rising. One priest on the left holds a small offering; the other on the right stirs a brass bowl with a ladle. Rows of small brass lamps or bowls fill the foreground, with bundles of sticks, flower garlands, and a plate of white offerings nearby. Behind them, a wooden cabinet with a vase of yellow flowers and a deity murti sits on a red-painted platform. Woven mats with red and blue stripes cover the floor. A copyright notice is printed across the lower right.

A homa in progress inside a temple hall with orange-painted walls. In the foreground a man in a white dhoti and shawl, wearing a long beaded necklace, bends over a brick fire pit with flames, holding a small vessel over the fire. Behind him another man in white stands near brass pots of offerings, and a drummer in a blue shirt and dhoti plays a drum. To the right, a row of decorated deity murtis draped in garlands sits on a raised platform beside brass kalashas, banana plants, a red cloth and a blue cloth. Bowls of rice, laddus and other food are arranged in front of the fire pit. A gold-carved ornate throne-like chair stands at the left. Several seated devotees in saris and white clothing sit on orange mats. A framed board with names hangs on the back wall.
