February 06 20172017-02-06A temple procession inside a pillared hall hung with colourful striped and orange fabric drapes and banana plants. A large deity murti sits on a palanquin decorated with pink and white flower garlands and a purple cloth, carried on wooden poles by a dense crowd of men in white shirts, red shirts and dhotis. A bare-chested man in the lower right raises his arms. A videographer with a camera stands at left. The crowd presses closely around the palanquin, and a bald priest in white is visible among the devotees.2012-04-05April 05 20122012-04-05Interior of a stone temple hall with carved pillars, painted ceiling panels and a tall brass lamp stand at centre. A man in a bright orange turban and orange shawl with a red flower garland stands by a dark stone platform holding a bowl and offering, with a white cloth-draped sivalinga-style object before him. Around him stand devotees in white and saffron clothes, a bare-chested young man with a sacred thread, a woman in red and a woman in yellow. A red banner with ritual symbols hangs on the wall behind. Visitors crowd the aisles, and a blue railing is visible at the right edge.2007-08-17July 29 20082008-07-29A large black stone Nandi bull statue dominates the foreground, adorned with a garland, a tilak mark on its forehead and a carved necklace, seated before a gated passage inside a temple. Beyond it a crowd of white-clad devotees walks along a corridor toward a colourful gopuram tower. Near the railing, a person in saffron and orange robes with an orange headwrap walks in the procession, flanked by men in white dhotis and shirts, one holding a red-bordered cloth. Stone pillars and carved walls frame the scene.2006-09-24April 29 20182018-04-29July 13 20092009-07-13A dark stone Nandi bull statue is the central subject, adorned with a yellow marigold crown, a red and yellow floral garland, a purple flower garland, and an ornate gold-and-red jeweled necklace. An orange-gold cloth drapes its back. Behind it, priests in white dhotis and orange-and-white shawls stand with hands raised, and a drummer in white plays a large drum at right. A microphone stand is in the foreground.2018-04-14A photograph inside a temple hall with black stone pillars and painted ceiling. At the centre, a deity murti is dressed in a garland of white, yellow and red flowers and stands under a colourful embroidered canopy with red, green and yellow floral and figure motifs. A crowd of devotees presses forward toward the murti; several men in white dhotis and shirts and a bare-chested man in front are visible, along with a person in pink holding up a phone to take a picture. Oil lamps glow near the shrine entrance. The scene suggests a temple procession or darshan, with the murti carried or displayed under the canopy.2012-04-05April 29 20182018-04-29February 16 20072007-02-16
