Part of a person in white and red clothing is visible at the top left, with a book and a brass lamp nearby. A deity murti is partly visible at the upper right. The scene suggests a homa or yagna ritual.2013-03-26January 13 20182018-01-13A square yellow-painted fire pit lined with red brick holds a burning bundle of straw and kindling, with ash and charred offerings around it. A priest in white dhoti with a gold-bordered cloth sits at the left edge, his hand and bangled wrist visible beside brass and copper kalasha vessels, flower petals and oil lamps. A bare arm, wearing a bangle and a dark bead bracelet, holds a bundle of straw or grass over the fire, and a brass vessel sits behind it. Yellow marigold garlands blur in the background. No face is visible, and no one can be confidently identified as a person. The scene is a homa or yagna.2016-09-09A homa fire burns in a square brick fire pit decorated with white painted swirls and stars and marigold petals at its edge. Tall orange flames rise from wood. Behind the pit, a seated priest in an orange dhoti with gold border and bangles pours an offering with a long ladle, and bowls of offerings and a small silver vessel sit on a colourful cloth. Only the partly visible priest is a physical person.2016-09-05February 07 20162016-02-07
