A photo of a bare-chested older man with grey hair and a short grey beard standing waist-deep in a calm river at dusk, cupping water in his hands and letting it spill from his fingers. He wears a wet white dhoti-like cloth and a reddish-brown cloth hangs from his waist into the water. A small wooden boat with a canopy sits on the left, with two distant figures near it, and a lit diya floats on the water. The pale sky and still water suggest a ghat ritual, possibly a river offering at dawn or dusk.2015-10-11A bare-chested man stands waist-deep in the Ganga river with his palms pressed together in namaste, facing the camera. He wears a red checked dhoti, a thin white thread necklace with a small pendant, a metal bracelet, and a red tilak on his forehead. Behind him a wooden boat is moored with rope and bamboo poles. In the lower right foreground a blurred person in a red and white patterned cloth is partly visible. The scene suggests a riverside bath at dawn or dusk.2013-02-13October 11 20152015-10-11May 01 20142014-05-01A bare-chested older man with grey hair and a grey beard stands waist-deep in a calm river at dawn, cupping water in both hands as an offering. Scattered marigold flowers lie on the stone steps. Behind him, a few people in orange and white stand on the steps, and a concrete bridge and buildings rise along the far bank under a hazy sky.2006-01-05
