February 10 20132013-02-10A night procession moves along a wide dusty road under orange sodium street lamps, with a flyover pillar structure in the hazy background. Many devotees walk in a dense crowd, most men in white dhotis and shirts, some carrying orange saffron flags on poles. A banner with a dark background and a figure is raised among the crowd, and a round decorated ornament is visible further back. A man in the foreground with a moustache looks toward the camera, and a small white-topped vehicle with orange flags is at the left edge. No clearly identifiable a person figure is visible.2013-02-12May 21 20122012-05-21February 10 20132013-02-10April 21 20162016-04-21May 21 20162016-05-21Night procession at a temple at dusk, with a lit oil lamp and a decorated deity palanquin glowing at the right under a temple roof. Several saffron-robed sannyasis walk in the centre: one in a bright orange cloth with a gold necklace and bare arms, another in darker orange with rudraksha beads and a gold chain. Men in white dhotis and a bare-chested man with a rudraksha mala walk nearby. A uniformed police officer in khaki with a blue-striped cap stands in the foreground, and older men in white shirts line the right edge. Garlands and flower strands hang at left.2012-04-05Outdoor photo of a flag-hoisting procession along a dirt road at dawn or morning. Two rows of devotees in white clothes stand facing each other holding tall poles with saffron-orange flags bearing blue emblems. On the left, a woman with white hair in a white dress and a man in white stand among others; on the right, men in white shirts and white dhotis hold the poles. A teal-covered truck or cart sits in the background between the rows, with low buildings, trees and a red-brick structure beyond.2008-12-23February 07 20132013-02-07December 17 20062006-12-17December 26 20082008-12-26Night procession on a dirt ground lit only by ambient light. A man in front wears white dhoti and shirt, carrying a metal trident (trishul) on a pole. Behind him, a shirtless bearded man wears a red dhoti and rudraksha mala, and a figure in saffron/orange robes with a saffron turban walks at right under a decorated umbrella (chhatra) with red, gold and green embroidery. Several men in white dhotis, some with orange shawls, walk in the procession, and a fringed decorated umbrella is carried overhead. The scene suggests a temple or ritual procession.2006-12-20
