A young man with long matted hair and a white tilak on his forehead sits on a striped cloth during a ritual, wearing an orange-saffron dhoti and layered rudraksha malas with gold beads. He extends his arm holding folded paper slips toward a figure at the right edge, while a brass plate before him holds banana, orange, bowls and more paper slips. An oil lamp glows at the lower left and a woman in orange sits beside him. Other people sit on mats in the background. A kalasha-style vessel with green leaves stands nearby.

A seated man in orange and saffron cloth performs a ritual at a brass plate on a colourful striped mat. He has long matted dark hair, white stripes on his forehead and arms, and wears a large gold-toned bead necklace and a small pendant. He tears or folds small white paper pieces with both hands over a silver tray holding brass bowls, a banana leaf, and a fruit. Beside him a woven basket holds green leaves and a pot, and a bundle of grass lies on the floor. Another person in orange sits at the left edge, and a figure in white stands at the right edge beside a wooden doorway.

A small oval medallion with a painted image of a saint is pinned at his shoulder. Another seated person in orange with similar beads is partly visible at left. Seated devotees in orange and saffron robes perform a puja on a floor covered with a blue cloth. Brass plates, bowls, a lit oil lamp and a small kalasha with a spout are arranged in front of them. Two young men in front wear orange robes with gold borders, have white and ash tilak on their foreheads and arms, and wear rudraksha malas. The one in the centre holds a small brass vessel and a spoon while the other sits leaning forward over the offerings. Behind them, more people sit in orange and white clothes beside rows of red chairs.

A photograph of a shaved-headed priest seated cross-legged on a striped mat, bare-chested, wearing a rust-brown dhoti with a gold border, a long rudraksha mala with a pendant, and a dark beaded mala around the upper arms. He holds a small brass bell and raises one hand with an oil lamp flame toward a seated group of devotees in orange and saffron robes, many bare-chested with rudraksha malas. Brass plates, a bowl of offerings and an oil lamp sit before him, with an orange bag on the left. Behind them the room is softly blurred with more seated participants. Several people are in view, and the scene appears to be a puja or ritual gathering.
