Indoor stage set for a ritual with a red carpet and gold-framed backdrop of bamboo-look panels and woven mats. A large portrait photo of a smiling man with a long white beard, orange turban and orange garment stands on an ornate gold throne with red cushions. Four women are visible: one in orange-brown sari kneels at left holding a lit oil lamp, another in orange sits behind her, a woman in white sari kneels center-right with hands raised near a tray, and a figure in orange-gold sari at far right holds a lit lamp. A lit tiered lamp stand glows on the right, and a child in orange kneels at the lower edge holding a small lamp. Potted plants and a drum sit at left.2014-08-01July 20 20142014-07-20A standing priest in an orange and gold dhoti-style wrap, bald and bare-armed with rudraksha-like beaded bracelets, raises a lit multi-flame oil lamp toward a golden throne-like seat. Centered on the seat is a framed portrait of a smiling man with a saffron/orange turban, orange robes and a red-brown tilak, labelled with a printed caption. A kneeling person in white clothing with a white shawl sits at lower right with hands joined in prayer, beside a metal bowl and a small brass plate of offerings. Flanking the seat are flower arrangements of orange, yellow and purple blooms, a silver trident (trishul) and green foliage, all against a backdrop of a large banyan-style tree over a golden temple-carved landscape. This appears to be an aarti ritual before a portrait on a peetha/throne; the portrait is a printed image, not a physical person.2014-12-26December 25 20142014-12-25A photograph of a shrine room with painted blue and gold walls and two painted standing deity figures flanking a central altar. A bald man in orange saffron robes with a rudraksha mala stands with his back to the camera, raising a lit lamp or ritual vessel toward the altar. Five people sit on red mats at right and left, hands folded in prayer; those at right wear orange and white dhoti clothing. A framed portrait of a saffron-turbaned man sits above a gold altar with brass lamps lining the floor. Garlands hang across the altar and draped fabric frames the shrine.2014-06-02A stage puja inside a hall with red carpet, gold-trimmed throne at left and a painted backdrop of deity murtis flanking a dark doorway with a golden seat. A standing priest in orange-saffron dhoti with bare upper body and a bead necklace raises a lit multi-flame aarti lamp toward the shrine, smoke rising. Seated at left, another orange-clad priest sits beside a small table with items. At right a white-clad person kneels near a row of brass oil lamps. Ceiling spotlights and air conditioners line the room.2014-08-14May 10 20122012-05-10Indoor stage ceremony with a deep red floor and maroon velvet drapes.
