Before him, a seated group of devotees in white, yellow and peach clothing listen attentively, some holding small silver cups. In front of the throne are fruit offerings, brass lamps and a small deity image on an altar at left. Behind is a red-and-white striped pillar and an orange wall. In front of him, a group of devotees in white ritual clothes and yellow shawls sit on the floor with brass plates, lamps and offerings laid out for a puja. Several women in white and orange-red garments sit in rows against an orange-walled hall with white-and-red striped wall panels and hanging curtains. The ceremony appears to be a seated puja or padapuja with a row of brass plates and oil lamps in front of the throne.2011-08-10A photograph of a temple courtyard where a man in saffron-orange robes with a white and orange flower garland and a rudraksha mala sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne, eyes closed, hands resting in his lap. Two rows of seated devotees face him: a bald man in white dhoti with a beaded mala and folded hands sits near a gold tray holding silver plates with fruit and small lamps, while women in white saris with yellow shawls, several with hair in braids, sit with palms pressed together. Behind the throne stands a gold-framed structure and a deity murti draped in orange cloth, beside red-and-white striped walls and orange curtains.2010-11-01August 15 20102010-08-15
