December 29 20102010-12-29A large seated ritual gathering of devotees in orange and maroon robes with rudraksha malas, many with white tilak on their foreheads. Rows of people sit on mats before metal trays holding small brass and steel bowls, lamps and offerings. Several participants hold tall brass cones or horns, apparently performing an abhishekam-style offering. A man in orange clothing at the right, with glasses and a rudraksha mala, is seated among them. Behind the rows, more seated attendees in white and colourful saris watch. Attribution: the visible people are devotees and ritual participants; no one is identified as a person in this image.2013-09-16April 2008 - Kailaasa In LA EventsNight-time ritual scene beside a brick fire pit with visible flames at lower left. Several young boys in saffron-orange cloths and rudraksha malas stand and sit on a striped cloth mat, some with bare shoulders. A boy kneels at right grinding or preparing material in a stone bowl, while an adult man in white dhoti with a gold-bordered cloth and bare chest, with tilak and rudraksha beads, works beside him. Clay pots, a brass oil lamp or lamp stand, a small metal figure, and a glass jar sit on the mat. Behind them, men in white dhotis and orange cloths stand watching, and a man holds a notebook. No identifiable a person figure is visible, so the person is described by role only.2017-09-07 +1 copiesMarch 03 20172017-03-03September 09 20132013-09-09A photograph of a satsang or discourse in a bare-walled hall with grey carpet. A man with long swept-back dark hair, orange robe, and rudraksha mala sits cross-legged on a raised wooden chair at right, hands gesturing as he speaks; the appearance is consistent with Swamiji (probable). Seated before him on white cloths are devotees in orange and saffron robes and a woman in white. Behind them stand tall painted deity murtis in gold and red garments, and a plate of fruit, brass vessels and flowers sits on an orange mat in the foreground. Several devotees in white and orange sit on the floor, and a woman in a red sari sits on a chair at right.2007-11-12Outdoor temple ritual on stone paving under a thatched shelter with bamboo poles. Several men in saffron-orange robes with rudraksha and gold bead necklaces kneel or stand with palms pressed together in prayer. In the foreground a man with long dark hair and a gold necklace prays, while a young priest in orange seated at right holds a silver vessel beside brass plates of offerings, flowers, a small brass lamp and bowls. Men and women in white and cream dhotis and saris kneel behind them, and a photographer with a camera stands nearby beside stone temple pillars and a carved figure.2010-12-29September 26 20092009-09-26Indoor photo of a procession of devotees in saffron-orange dhotis and shawls, many with long braided hair, moving across a hall during a festival meal. Behind them a large printed portrait of a smiling man with red tilak and pink-red garments hangs on a wall, decorated with yellow and gold.
