A seated figure on an ornate carved wooden throne with red velvet backing wears an orange saffron-coloured robe and orange turban, with a white shawl draped over the shoulder, and is adorned with white and yellow flower garlands. A bearded man in white kurta and dhoti stands before him, placing his hands on the seated figure's head in a blessing. Another man in white clothing stands at left. Pink flower petals and offering trays with red flowers and small bowls sit on the floor, along with a brass bowl on a side table, and the throne is decorated with pink and white garlands. A seated figure in an orange-saffron robe and orange head wrap, with a green leafy garland and white flower garlands, receives honour as a standing man in white clothes places a yellow bead garland around his neck. Two women in white saris stand behind on the left. In front are silver bowls of flowers, fruit, rice and offerings, a red-cushioned footstool, and a brass lamp on a side table. The garland-placing man is clearly a devotee or priest, and the seated figure shows swept-back hair, orange robes and an orange wrap, but the appearance is not conclusive enough to confirm a person identity.2003-07-13A photograph of a temple-hall ritual in which a figure in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban, with long swept-back hair and a long gold-bead necklace of ornamental strands, leans forward smiling to receive or bless a kneeling devotee in white. Behind him a golden throne-like seat is decorated with a large floral arrangement of yellow, orange, red and purple flowers, and a golden canopy with a tiled roof stands above. Several men in white dhotis and shirts crouch or stand around, one in a red-and-gold shawl, while two saffron-clad attendants in rudraksha malas stand at left, one holding a tray. The scene suggests darshan with a flower-decorated seat and temple setting.2011-12-20A seated man on an ornate gold throne with a red velvet seat and a gold canopy above, wearing a pale cream and gold embroidered sherwani, a matching gold-embroidered wrap, a saffron-yellow turban and a long gold necklace. In the foreground, a figure in saffron-orange robes bends forward at the throne's base. A man in white stands at the far left edge, and an orange draped table sits in the lower left.
