A shaved-headed man in an orange-saffron robe with a gold-edged shawl sits cross-legged with palms pressed together at his mouth, eyes lowered, holding a small yellow flower. He wears a dense rudraksha mala with a gold pendant, a gold bangle, a wristwatch, and a red bindi with white horizontal tilak lines on his forehead and arms. Beside him, young boys in red robes with rudraksha malas and white tilak sit with hands cupped. In front is a white table with a brass cup, flower-filled plates, oil lamps and incense sticks. Several seated adults in the background watch.2013-11-18March 18 20132013-03-18Photo 11736589April 11 20132013-04-11 +1 copiesPhoto 11735794A row of saffron-robed men sit cross-legged on a white floor in a bright room with red curtains, hands pressed in anjali mudra. Each wears orange-brown dhotis with gold borders, rudraksha mala necklaces and white urdhva pundra marks on forehead and arms. Brass kalashas, bell-shaped pots and silver vessels with offerings line the floor in front of them. The men are shaven-headed priests or disciples; no individual is identified.2013-09-30June 07 20132013-06-07Photo 11690336 +2 copiesPhoto 11680249Photo 11734419A group of young shaved-headed ascetics in saffron-orange dhotis and wraps, with rudraksha malas and white tripundra markings on their foreheads, sit on a white floor mat performing a seated ritual. Several hold brass lamps or ritual implements over small plates of fruit and sweets on low wooden stands. Behind them, men in white dhotis and shirts, some wearing red shawls, sit with hands folded in prayer. The setting looks like a hall with a tiled floor and a blue cloth strip on the floor.2013-11-18May 09 20122012-05-09
