Several have white and ash markings on their foreheads and arms, and some wear rudraksha malas. Foreground figures sit with hands resting on their knees; one bare-chested man wears a white-and-gold cloth, and one man at right takes notes in a small notebook. Brass plates and offering dishes sit on the mats in front, and the rows behind extend back to a crowd of seated devotees. The scene suggests a group ritual sitting or satsang. No figure in the foreground is distinctly identifiable as a presiding teacher; all appear as participants in white ritual dress.
