Outdoor photo at dusk of a procession in Pondicherry beneath palm trees. Men in white shirts and white dhotis carry tall silver ceremonial staffs with ornate finials; the two foreground men on either side hold them upright. Behind them a golden statue dressed in an orange saffron garment and orange turban stands on a gold base, carried by several men in white. A red and multicoloured tasselled canopy hangs overhead, and an older man in white dhoti stands at left while a woman in an orange sari sits at lower left. A small red tilak mark is visible on the staff-bearer's forehead, and rudraksha-style malas hang at necks.2007-02-112006 - Kailasa India Sangha ActivitiesDecember 27 20132013-12-27 +1 copiesApril 06 20122012-04-06Photograph of a group standing indoors at night in a hall with a concrete floor. In the centre, a young man in a saffron-orange robe and matching turban, with a long rudraksha mala and a small pendant at the chest, stands with hands clasped in front of him. Around him, older men in white dhotis and white shirts stand in a line, one at the left with hands folded in greeting and another wearing glasses. At the right, a man in a checked shirt and blue trousers stands barefoot. Watermarked archive text appears across the lower right, omitted here. Background includes other onlookers and a bright wall light.2003-02-11July 07 20092009-07-07May 18 20122012-05-18Night procession on a paved road. Two men in white dhotis and white shirts with yellow shawls carry long wooden poles topped with yellow canopies. Behind them a man in an orange robe and orange head wrap walks barefoot, holding a small statue of a seated figure in an orange garment, draped with white and orange flower garlands. A third man in white holds a flower garland. A red and green ornamental umbrella with tassels is held over the group. Several other men in white walk behind. The lead man on the left wears an orange shawl. No clear identification of the robed man can be made from appearance, so he is described by role as a devotee in saffron carrying a murti in procession.2008-08-07August 02 20082008-08-02February 14 20072007-02-14November 25 20092009-11-252008 - Post August - Powerful homa in Sirkazhi by trained Acharya
