A photograph of an outdoor ritual beneath a large banyan tree. A bearded man in a maroon-red turban and maroon-red robe, draped with a heavy garland of white and pink flowers, multiple gold chains and a large gold pendant, stands at the centre sprinkling flower petals over a golden shivalinga-style object on a stone pedestal, with fresh red roses scattered around it. Behind him, several attendants in saffron-orange dhotis, some bare-chested with rudraksha malas, hold a brass plate of flowers, a silver bowl and a copper vessel. A clean-shaven man in white dhoti with gold border and a red rudraksha mala stands at right with a tilak on his forehead, and a microphone clipped to his clothing. Ritual vessels, a tall wooden pole and hanging ropes are visible.

A photo of an outdoor ashram courtyard under a thatched palm-leaf roof with palm trees behind. A figure with long dark swept-back hair, wearing orange saffron robes, a rudraksha mala and a shawl, holds a white conch-shaped ritual object and faces a robed woman in orange with a shawl, who reaches toward it. Around them stand several saffron-robed sadhus, shaven-headed and bearded men, a man in green, and a man in a long brown robe. A brass ritual vessel is visible at the lower right. The scene suggests a ritual exchange of objects. a person is the figure with long hair, orange robes and rudraksha mala holding the conch.

Outdoor ground-breaking at a rocky hillside site. A figure in saffron-orange robes and a matching orange turban, wearing a rudraksha mala and a garland of white and yellow-orange flowers, holds a long wooden staff planted in the earth with eyes lowered. Three men in white and light shirts stand behind him with hands folded and heads bowed. Boulders and green shrubs fill the background, and coconut halves lie on the ground in the lower left, with a carved stone slab at the left edge. Whether the robed figure is the a person cannot be settled from appearance alone, so the role is given as a sannyasi. Visible people: four.

A photograph inside a covered hall with a green carpet and a red-edged mat, showing a man in a white dhoti and white shirt with a dark rudraksha mala standing and holding his hands together while a woman in an orange sleeveless top with a white flower garland kneels with her back to the camera. Behind them a bald man in orange robes with a rudraksha mala stands, and another man in white smiles. Seated devotees in white fill the background, and to the right stands a tall display of white jasmine garlands and pink roses. Blurred printed banners hang on the rear wall.

A crowded outdoor scene at a temple entrance during a darshan procession. Saffron-robed sannyasis in orange cloth crowd around a golden kalasha-topped palanquin draped with yellow marigold garlands and pink fabric. A bare-chested man in the foreground raises a garland toward the palanquin. A man in a golden-orange silk robe with a beard stands at the centre, and a saffron-clad man with a dark rudraksha mala and orange shawl stands at right, both appearing to be devotees or sannyasis rather than clearly identifiable. Uniformed police officers in khaki stand at the edges, and onlookers in white and pale clothing fill the background near a red-and-white painted temple gateway with scaffolding.

A photograph of an indoor ritual in a tiled room with a window of ornate grille behind. A seated figure on the left wears a red and white turban-style headdress, a saffron and orange robe, a pink and white flower garland with gold-toned beads, and bangles, and holds a tall silver ritual rod or stand. Several young men in saffron and orange robes with white forehead markings sit or stand around her. In the foreground, a seated man in white kurta with folded hands and a red-orange garland performs a flame ritual, holding a lit lamp or camphor flame, while a woman in a cream sari with a white flower in her hair offers a flame to a floral arrangement on the floor. Other devotees in white and blue sit with folded hands along the right edge, and more people stand in white in the background. Marigold and rose petals are scattered on the floor. The figure on the left is a candidate for a person based on her distinctive headdress, saffron robe and garlands, but her appearance is not certain enough to confirm.

Outdoor ritual at an ashram courtyard beside a white stone pillar. A man with long dark hair and a full beard, wearing a flower garland and a rust-red robe, holds a brass puja vessel and bells over the pillar's base. Behind him, four to five men in orange and rust robes, with white forehead markings and beaded necklaces, stand with palms joined in prayer. A man in white dhoti and shawl with a rudraksha mala stands at left. A red boundary wall, a diesel generator and a flowering tree form the background, and a marigold garland lies at the lower right. The group appears to be performing a puja or abhishekam.
