Four young boys in saffron-orange dhoti-style wraps and matching orange turbans stand on wet paving in rain beside red pillars and a red brick wall. They play ceremonial instruments: the foreground boy beats a silver-rimmed drum, the second plays a long brass horn, the boy on the right shakes a small hand cymbal, and the boy at left raises a stick. Each wears rudraksha beaded malas, and the bare-chested boys are barefoot. A blue tank and palm trees appear behind.2017-09-02May 08 20172017-05-08October 16 20162016-10-16January 15 20162016-01-15A group of young boys in saffron-orange robes and orange turbans stand in a row with palms pressed together in namaste, some with eyes closed in prayer. They wear rudraksha malas and white sacred ash markings on their foreheads and arms. Behind them, a garland of marigolds and roses sits on a red-pillared stand, and more saffron-clad figures are visible in an open pavilion.2017-09-02A procession of drummers in saffron-orange dhotis and shawls, many wearing rudraksha malas and wrist bands, plays large white-faced drums and cymbals on a sandy path beside a red carpet. A young drummer in front wears an orange shawl, a white sash and a mala, with white tilak marks on his forehead, while others in the group carry drums slung at the waist. A row of colourful ceremonial umbrellas in red, green and yellow stands behind them, and a rangoli of red, yellow and white flower petals lies on the ground. Scaffolded stone pillars and a half-built temple hall with a tiled roof frame the background, with palm trees beyond.2017-12-30August 31 20172017-08-31May 13 20152015-05-13December 22 20182018-12-22 +1 copiesSeptember 27 20172017-09-27 +1 copiesA procession of young men in saffron-orange dhotis, shawls and orange turbans, many wearing rudraksha malas and bangles, walks along a paved courtyard beside green trees. Several play drums: one in the foreground holds a large drum with a rope harness, others carry round drums and a bamboo staff. A central figure in white dhoti and white shawl with a yellow border plays a drum. Some wear white sacred markings on their arms and faces.
