In front, a bare-chested man in orange cloth with his palms folded above his head, and a woman in orange sari with folded hands and gold bangles, face the deity. A central figure with a bare chest, a red-and-gold turban-style headwear, a red garland and a gold necklace holds a lamp beside a large bronze vessel of flame. Large red and yellow flower garlands drape the vessel and a blue cloth covers a nearby platform. Behind him a white-clad attendant with a mala stands to the left, and several men and women in saffron and orange robes stand near a white ceremonial umbrella. A tall flame rises from the vessel while a crowd with raised hands and phones watches from the right. A brass ceremonial staff is visible at the right edge.2013-11-17 +1 copiesEvening outdoor photo of a large ceremonial fire rising from a bronze vessel garlanded with red and pink flowers, set on a blue cloth-covered platform. A figure in a rust-orange and gold-banded dhoti, with an orange head wrap, orange-red beaded garland and gold armbands, holds a hand near the flames, seated or standing before a red-cushioned throne-like chair under a silver ceremonial parasol. Around them stand many people in orange and saffron robes with rudraksha malas, some with palms joined, plus white-clad priests and a figure in a tall ornate headdress. Long brass horns and ceremonial trumpets are raised on the right, and palm trees and foliage fill the background.2013-11-17 +1 copiesOutdoor religious procession at dusk with a crowd of devotees in saffron-orange and white dhotis, many with white ash markings on their foreheads and bodies. A bare-chested man in white dhoti holds a tall golden ceremonial staff topped with a lamp stand, while a man in white holds a silver tray with oil lamps burning on it. Another man in an ornate embroidered crown or cap and layered beaded necklaces holds a small bowl. Men and boys behind them blow long brass horns raised overhead. Rudraksha malas and garlands are visible, with a red-brick building and trees behind.2013-11-17 +1 copiesDecember 07 20162016-12-07Outdoor evening ritual with a flaming basin and a tall garland-wrapped pillar of white and purple flowers at left. A central figure in a red-maroon turban, red flower garland, gold ornaments and a gold pendant holds a small oil lamp and a handbell, smiling. Around them, several men in saffron-red and gold-bordered dhotis or wraps, rudraksha malas, and white dhotis stand near the flames. One man at right wears a patterned cylindrical headdress and a rudraksha mala, holding a lamp on a tray. Palm trees and a red umbrella with tassels stand in the background. The central figure appears to match the page's Swamiji reference by saffron/red clothing, turban and gold ornamentation, so the identification is probable.2014-12-05April 14 20182018-04-14 +1 copiesEvening outdoor ritual under a corrugated metal canopy with trees behind. In the foreground, a figure seen from behind wears a maroon turban, a white flower garland, and maroon robes with a yellow sash. Behind him, a priest in white dhoti and shawl stands at a row of brass oil lamps on a stand, and a man in maroon robes waits nearby. A large deity murti decorated with flower garlands is displayed on a platform, and a small shrine with a lit lamp stands to the right. Seated and standing devotees fill the lower left and centre. The scene suggests a lamp-lighting puja.2015-11-25
