Pre-Historic Roots and Origin

Origin of the Kalpavriksha Tree

The time immemorial banyan tree in Adikailasa is worshipped as the Nithyanandeshwara Paramashiva Kalpataru. Here Paramashiva graces as the Banyan tree. He graces as Paramashiva in this form. Each leaf of the banyan tree is Paramashiva face. And each branch of the Kalpataru is each hand of Paramashiva. Paramashiva gracing in this form of Kalpataru Banyan tree fulfills any prayers asked.

Verses from the Srimad Kamika Agama

The original kalpavriksha tree is described in the first verse of the Kamika Āgama:

kailāsadakṣiṇe śṛṅge nānāścarya samanvite|

pravṛddha vaṭavṛkṣotthacchayācchanne'ti vistṛte||

vyāghracarma parīdhāne pīṭhe ratnopaśobhite|

devadānava gandharva siddha vidyādharādibhiḥ||

sevyamānaṁ mahādevaṁ śrīkaṇṭhaṁ viśvanāyakam|

On the southern summit of the Mount Kailasa associated with multifarious wonderments, there is a seat under the full-grown vata-tree (banyan tree), which seat is thickly covered by its shadow and which is exceedingly wide, with a tiger-skin placed around it. It is auspiciously beautified with gems studded over it. Lord Srikantha who is the controlling authority of this Universe, who is the Great God, is seated on it, being worshipped by the host of devas, dānavas, Gāndharvas, Siddhas, Vidyādharas and such other celestial groups. It has the lineage of a great enlightened Guru, Aruṇagiri Yogīśvara, embodiment of Lord Shiva Himself. SRI’MAT KAMIKA ĀGAMA - Purva Padha (verse 1.1)

Verses from Sri Guru Gita

Ages ago, on the sacred mountain peak of Kailāsa, the abode of Lord Śiva, which is frequented by the Siddhas and Gandharvas, in that most beautiful temple created by Kalpavṛkṣa, the wish-fulfilling tree adorned by its shrubs, flowers, fruits. Seated on a tiger-skin, surrounded and worshipped by Śuka and other sages, on one occasion, while Lord Śiva was expounding to the Rṣis—the Paraṁ Tattva, Supreme Truth;

Significance to Sri Ramachandra, who was one the descendants of Surya Vamsa, and ruler of Surangi Samrajyam

After Paramashiva taught the Agamas, the Rishis were living in Ramanagara, and practicing. That is when Bhagavan Sri Rama, the Avatar of Vishnu who lived at that time, came to Ramanagara. The Saptarishis bring Sri Rama to Paramashiva under the banyan tree. He also came and heard, not only the Agamas but the Upanishads ( two scriptures authored by Paramashiva), from Mahadeva directly. Then, after Sri Rama wins the war, he brings Hanuman, Sita and Laxmana, Bharata, Shatrughna, and the whole battalion, to show where all he lived. That time, the same place, Rama sits, and describes to Hanuman, what he heard from Sadāshiva. Sri Rama taught whatever he heard from Paramashiva to Hanuman. That is what is recorded in Muktikopanishad, as the 108 Upanishads.

While He was living underneath the banyan tree, Sri Rama worshipped the swayambhu linga, or the rock formation which was shaped like a shiva linga naturally. The Shiva Linga is the representation of Shiva, the auspicious shaft of eternal light.

After being a home to Paramashiva Himself and radiating His energy, the land around the banyan tree began attracting high frequency beings. The Jeeva Samadhi of the enlightened energies is present right below a cave at the center of the banyan tree, from which the tree mystically branches up into this huge cosmic canopy. Jeeva Samadhi is the science where your body can be buried but you will be alive forever, even without your body you will be alive, forever. This is a power expressed by Enlightened Masters even after they decide to stop using their physical body, but continue to radiate their healing energies for enriching and blessing the world in a state of Samadhi, pure meditative state. It bears a mystical connection to Shambhala – the metaphysical space of enlightened Masters. The vibrations in this space are so distinct that even the casual visitor can feel its effects.

Revival of Adi Kailasa After the Advent of His Divine Holiness

2001 - HDH's Vision of Adi Kailasa and the Kalpavriksha Tree

In the year 2001, The Avatar His Divine Holiness Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam had a divine vision of this very banyan tree. Without knowing where it was or how to get there beforehand, this premonition revealed to Him the place of The Avatar’s headquarters in the East. It was then revealed to him that this tree was located near a town called “Bidadi” in Karnataka, South India. The Avatar revealed to his disciples a vision that he had of the ashram he was going to reside in. He told them about a sacred 300 year old tree that was the abode of Muneeshwara, the lord of sages.

Acquisition of the Land of Adi Kailasa

7 March 2020 | HDH Reveals how Sri Tiruchy Mahaswamigal Guides HDH to Find The Land of the Sacred Banyan Tree

Transcript

My grandfather used to serve him. And whenever My grandfather used to take me to him, he will make me fall at his feet and then he will tell, “Swamikku vazhi vazhi adimaiya Irukkanum.” And then Tiruchy Swami will laugh. He is like a child. I can still remember. These few people's laughter is just inside My heart. Ram Surat Kumar, Visiri Swamigal’s laughter. Oh God! He will literally roll on the ground and laugh. He used to always carry that coconut shell and fan. He used to throw both and then laugh, when he starts laughing. Same way, the Tiruchy Swami, when he laughs, the whole Being laughs. Then he will bless, “kshemamaga Irungal.” I asked him once. ”Swamiji, how come there is no smell, anything of human body?” “Aye, Sanyasiskku odambula smell varakudathuda.” He explained in Tamil, “ Soru suthama irukanum. Soruthan ratham majai sukulamavuthuda. Soru suthama iruntha ithuellam suthama irukkum, naatham irukkathu” - means, it is only the food that becomes blood, bone marrow and semen, that reproductive energy in the system. If the food is pure, all this will be pure, there will not be any smell. I have seen an absolute integrity and discipline in his life, for the quantity, quality, time of the food. He is Yogi by simple living. On time he will come for his breakfast or lunch or dinner, eat only that limited quantity, pure, organic sattvic food. He will feed everyone, but he himself will eat only his limited quantity. Amazing Yogi. You can have his darshan. I had the fortune of sitting at his feet. Many times, having his darshan, from the time I have seen him. Maybe I would have seen him first time, when I was a kid. Maybe I don’t know whether seven year or ten year or whatever, but as a kid I have seen him. That much I remember very clearly, because My grandfather used to be a great follower. He used to give food for him and serve him. He stayed in a place called Oya Matam, just opposite to the house I was born and brought up. Before, he started the Kailash Ashram in Bangalore, he used to stay in that Oya Matam, it’s a Mutt, belongs to Nagarathar, so that time My grandfather, My father's side and mother's side, both of them used to be associated with him.

I was describing about Tiruchy Swami and how he taught Me. He is extraordinary embodiment of love of the Mother, Parashakti, protection of the father. I tell you. It actually happened once. That once I went and told him, that I was in Kailash Ashram, as one of his Sanyasi. I told him that I wanted to leave, to start the work I am supposed to do - the reviving the Kailasa. He looked at Me and said, “Hey, nee enakku adimai, naan solrathuthan seiyanum. Nee ninaichathellam panna mudiyathu.” I just fell at his feet literally and said, “Swami utharavu. Swami adimaiyaga etrukitathe perisu, swami utharavu.” Means I told him that, “ Let your command be the ultimate. You accepted Me as your slave, that itself is a great thing, greatest blessing. Only your command will be done.” And there were few devotees around. He laughed and told them,” Ivan pattan ivana ennaku ezhuthi koduthuttan.” He told them that My grandfather has written and given Me to him as his slave. “Ivan pattan ivanai enakku ezhuthi koduthirukiran.” I tell you, when great people feel, you are theirs, your life will be great. That's it. Nothing more need to be done. And it is not that, he stopped Me from My work. He only protected Me. And then, within few days, on one 19th, he calls Me. I still remember the date. I will tell you why. He calls Me to his place, where he sits and meets people. It was 19th, he calls Me, morning, early morning. I went to his room and touched his feet and he said, in Tamil, “Dei, ukkaruda.” He will call Me in singular only. Very intimate relationship and it is a great blessing to be called by them in singular. He told in singular, “ukkaruda” - sit. I sat in his presence, bowing down and covering the mouth with the hands, because when we speak, that saliva should not touch them, should not fall on them. So we cover the face and I was sitting. One of his disciples, Shiva Puri Swami, great Swami. He has his own ashram. He went from his ashram, means Tiruchy Swami's ashram, to start his own ashram on 19th. So every 19th, he will come to have darshan of Tiruchy Swami and they will have closed door conversation - they will not have anyone else in that meeting. But that day, he allowed Me, he asked Me to be there and Shiva Puri Swami came and as usual he offered the flowers, fell at his feet and did darshan. There is a traditional way of removing the upper cloth and tying it in the hip and falling at the feet of the Guru. And he did all that and then Tiruchy Swami, he told Shivapuri Swami to sit. He sat one side and I was sitting the other side.

Usually when Shiva Puri Swami comes, Tiruchy Swami will send everyone out. But that day purposely after Shiva Puri Swami sat, he told Me,”Sit.” I was about to get up and go out, he said,”Sit.” And then he told Shiva Puri Swami in Tamil,” Appa, ivanukku Alamarathodu Ashramam amayanumnu Ambal soluchi. Nee oru Alamaram vachikeliya, athuthana ivanuthunnu paaren.” He was telling in Tamil. Devi told him,” That under a Banyan tree, a huge ashram will happen for this Swami, you have one Banyan tree in your ashram, can you take him and show.” Is that the Banyan tree Ambal showed him. And I promise I tell you, I have not told Tiruchy Swami, that I had that darshan at that time. I really did not tell Tiruchy Swami. I actually had darshan, but I did not tell him. He says, “Devi showed him, with a huge Banyan tree the ashram will happen. Can you show your Banyan tree and find out whether that is the Banyan tree this Swami is looking.” I was shocked. Then I understood, being a slave of great Beings, is not suffocation. It is protection and inheriting their wealth. I was searching for that Banyan tree all over the Bangalore. Those days devotees they know, at least hundred places we visited in search of that Banyan tree. Anyhow, I went and saw that Shiva Puri Swami's ashram Banyan tree and said,” No, this is not the Banyan tree.” I came and reported back to him. Then he said, “Alright wait, I will find out. I will find out which Banyan tree.” Finally, his disciple, one of his disciple was searching for the Banyan tree. He told them. He told that disciple,” You try to search all the big Banyan tree all around.” In Mysore road itself, there is another one Dodda Alamara. He even sent Me there. And I said,” No, not this Banyan tree I saw in vision.” First I did not reveal to him. After he revealed, Devi showed him. Then I told him that,” Yes, I had darshan and vision and still it is there in My Being like a print.” And then he sent Me to different Banyan trees and it was not matching. And then finally, that devotee who owns that land, in his dream, Paramashiva appears and tells, that I am staying in Omkar hills, to go and meet Me. And then Tiruchy Swami tells,” Alright you go and stay in Omkar hills.” Exactly, that few days, he sends Me there. And the devotee comes and meets Me in Omkar hills. Then I brought that devotee to Tiruchy Swami and he said,” Right, now you go and see.” And then I went and saw the Banyan tree and that is the Banyan tree. Then after that, I wanted all of you to know, Tiruchy Swami personally visited our ashram and blessed. Not only Shiva Puri Swamy came, Tiruchy Swami also came personally, physically and blessed. Nobody knows, very few people only know. He came and personally blessed and he only said,” Svayambuda, Olunga Puja pannu.Kaapathirum.” He told seeing our Shiva Linga, in Tamil,” Svayambuda, Olunga Puja pannu Kaapathirum.” It is Svayambu, take care of it well and do pujas properly. It will do all the good things and protect you forever. “ Nalla valarum”.

Owners of the Land and their Memories of the sacred abode of Kalpavriksha

Pratap Rao remembers, “Radhakrishna Swamiji had said in 1969 that this place will be world famous. I am seeing it today. What was predicted in 1969 has come true. There are lakhs of people I am seeing from all parts of life, and all parts of the world who are coming here and having the blessing of this tree. From being a small village, it has become the whole world! I used to do a little cultivation around the house here, and the rest I left it fallow for the peacocks. We had bears, panthers and jackals - all running around here! I never used to disturb them. Two, three times I have seen Munishwara (a form of Lord Shiva) walk by. And on one special occasion about 40 years back, I have seen this whole tree light up in the night! It is like seeing it at day time! It has become an ashram and a holy place, for what it was always (meant).”

Paramashiva Instructs Vinayak Rao to Donate Land to HDH

One day, Vinayak Rao was blessed with a Divine Vision and darshan of Adi Dakshinamurthy, the Primordial incarnation of Paramasiva, wherein He revealed the form of a young Swami with a smiling face and wearing a turban and spoke thus: "I, Paramasiva have incarnated as a young Swami and have come back to adorn this Peetha and revive it." The Peetha revealed is the Kailaasa Paramparagatha Adi Kailasa Nithyananda Peetham, which has been in existence from time immemorial and where stands the sacred Banyan tree, and the revealed form of the young Swami looked exactly like none other than His Divine Holiness.

Vinayak Rao shared with Sri Shantaveera MahaSwami and the administrative committee members, the Divine Darshan. Sri Shantaveera MahaSwami immediately saw in his own Divine Vision and confirmed to them that the young Swami revealed as Paramasiva's incarnation was indeed His Divine Holiness.

Installing 3 Garbhas, Infusing the Land with Superconscious Energy

An Enlightened Incarnation is capable of dismantling any molecule and assembling it as any other molecule, at any place and space and time he wants. With this power, dismantling the liquid form of mercury, and retaining its mercurial quality, and assembling it back as solid. This is what science of solidifying mercury is.

HDH recalls when he did this in Adi Kailasa:

“In this body, I did these 3 times: once under Dakshinamoorthy, second under the present Garbhamandir (at Temple), third under Vaidya Sarovar Nithyananda Lingam. It starts from preparing the ground and installing the solidified mercury, installing proper Yantras, Mandalas, as per the instructions of Sadashiva”

Just these 3 Garbhas installed in Adipeetham Sarvajnapeetham contributes and plays a major role in preparing the Gurukul Balasants and their capacity to radiate so much of powers. Because they’re constantly living in this space! Especially when their muscle-memory and bio-memory is growing, living in sanctified space, living in the space where Prana-pratishta is done, it does thousands of good things to you.

This land is the cosmic airport of spirituality, where Gods have walked for ages.
