Life of Isakki Swamigal
When Isakki Swamigal was seven years old, he along with his family came to the abode of Paramashiva in Tiruvannamalai. At this time, in the place called Panchamukham, where the five hills of Arunachala are seen in one vision, the young saint had the divine darshan of Paramashiva Himself with five faces. He saw Paramashiva in the form of an eternally youthful 16 year old, with five heads, 15 eyes and ten hands, seated on the seat made up of a white lotus and in the form of the lord of all lords, the purest swarupa, form, of Sadashiva. In a flash, . Paramashiva showed him the purpose of his whole life, and the fact that Isakki Swamigal would be sitting in this spot in the presence of Paramashiva Himself, in the human form and interacting with the divine Himself from the time he was a new-born to when he was a fierce adolescent. At once, He understood His role in the purpose of the next advent of The Avatar Having been sent by Paramashiva down to Planet Earth within the first fifth of the 1900's, Isakki Swamigal started directly preparing for the descent of The Avatar in around 1950 around which time He decided to settle down completely in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, South India.
Isakki Swamigal was the predecessor of Mathaji Vibhutananda Puri in the ancient lineage of the Arunachala Sampradaya. Mathaji Vibhutananda Puri was the only disciple and inheritor of Isakki Swamigal and the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism was the only disciple of Mathaji Vibhutananda Puri. Isakki Swamigal was a powerful avadhuti, someone who lived radiating the space of enlightenment and thus found no physical or mental need to eat food and found no social obligation to wear clothes. He was a powerful healer who would heal people just by the power of his words and send hundreds upon hundreds of people to do circumambulation of the sacred Arunachala Hill -the primordial divinity, Paramashiva in hill form. He has healed so many people at a time that he would create a "naramala" (garland of human beings who are doing the circumambulation) around Arunachala. Even SPH's biological mother, Ma Nithya Lokanayakananda Swami, remembers devotedly following Isakki Swamigal's instruction to walk around Arunachala Hill every morning for one year when she was in around 7th grade in around 1965. This instruction was given by Isakki Swamigal knowing that the young girl at the time was blessed ti be chosen as the physical vessel for the birth of the Incarnation of Paramashiva.
In this way, Isakki Swamigal was involved among other esteemed enlightened beings in directly birthing the Supreme Consciousness in the form of the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism in 1978. Subsequently, when SPH was at the age of three, during the rituals for the first observed Chathurmasya, Isakki Swamigal initiated SPH with the first ever "Olai Chevudi" or palm leaf scripture, which is still worshipped in the pushpasamaadhi (the sacred items owned and used by SPH) and preserved in the Sovereign Archives wing of the National Archives of ShriKAILASA. Today through KAILASA's Nithyananda Jnanalaya and ShriKAILASA Uniting Nations for Ancient Scriptures and Knowledge, SPH is reviving the tradition of preserving sacred knowledge in palm leaf scripture, as well as collecting and protecting the existing palm leaf scriptures which have been destroyed or lost over years of invasion and pillaging by anti-hindu forces.
Thus, Isakki Swamigal is known for initiating this grand revival by imparting the wisdom from the Vedanta to the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism, ultimately being aware that it would be this young Avatar, SPH, to bring this sacred knowledge to the world.
SPH imbibed the powerful cognitions and trained with Isakki Swamigal until he attained Mahasamadhi in 1991. Isakki Swamigal's samadhi is located at a place on the path around Arunachala, called "PanchaMukha" where Arunachala gives darshan with all five hillocks, each one being the embodiment of the five faces of Paramashiva.

Isakki Swamigal in deep meditation in the place called Panchamukham in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu . This place is where all five peaks of Arunachala are seen in one vision (therefore it is called Darshan), each one being the embodiment of one of the faces of Paramashiva. At the age of around 7 years old, Isakki Swamigal had the darshan of Paramashiva in this very place and realized the higher purpose for his life to facilitate the birth and full manifestation of Super-conciousness.
Isakki Swamigal was the predecessor of Mataji Vibhutananda Puri, who was the guru of the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism. Though both of the two enlightened beings, Isakki Swamigal and Kuppammal, were directly involved in the life of SPH, the lineage was offcially a single guru and single disciple tradition, as is explained inthe coronation letter written by Mataji Vibhutannada Puri upon the coronation of SPH as the Incarnation of Paramashiva at the age of 16.

Panchamukham is today consecrated as the place where Isakki Swamigal realized the purpose of His birth, and left his body, merging once again in the state of Oneness wtih Paramashiva, in 1991 after having deemed the purpose of His life fulfilled.

Pre-1978 | 3- | 7 March 2011 | HDH Nithyananda Paramashivam speaks on Saint Isakki Swamigal | There was a time in the 70s and early 80s in Tiruvannamalai the whole district’s hospitals were shut down. Anybody with any problem will go to Isakki Swamigal. He will not give some big big medicines. He will just take the mud from Arunachala and put it in the mouth, sometimes in the nose, sometimes in the head and tell them it will become alright - go around the Hill two times or 3 times. He would become alright.
The local villagers were saying - for full three years, day in and day out He put a human garland for Arunachala (Narmalaya) of people who started going around the Hill because of his instructions. People were shocked - what is this? The whole hospital is empty! Not only this guy goes on healing, Isakki Swamigal will do all simple things - all kinds of what He gives and how he gets healed nobody knows. Not only He is healing, He is inspiring people to stand on Hinduism. This is too much! Those fellows created a conspiracy - arranged a patient to come to him and Swamigal gave some vibhuti and those fellows killed the patient and created the rumors - “because of Swamigal’s vibhuti the patient died” and made a police case and literally stopped him from giving vibhuti or any herbs, leaves which is completely illegal. The funny thing you know, even then they were not able to completely stop Him. He stopped giving medicine or mud and stopped talking. He will just sit, people will come and ask him about problems, he will have a slate, in that He will say 4 - means 4 days go around the Hill ‘you will become alright.’ |
1979 | 1 | 8 August 2020 | Give Superconscious Breakthrough to Your Being and Doing | In this talk, the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism reveals Isakki Swamigal's involvement in the birthing of the Supreme Consciousness into the human form. He says He is even planning to bring down Isakki Swamigal once again and invite him to live in KAILASA, the enlightened civlization, through the same process of enlightened birthing that His gurus did for Him. |
1981 | 3 | 5 January 2015 | Upanishads - The Expressions of the Cosmos | HDH introduces Upanishad, the first ever book which was introduced to HDH by His gurus, Isakki Swamigal and Mathaji Vibhutananda Puri when He was around three years old. Before touching any other book, it was this sacred scripture which HDH began the deep study of Vedanta and Tantra. With this book, HDH even first learned the Tamil alphabet. This book is preserved today in the biographical archives of the National Archives of ShriKailasa. The subtlest cosmic truths should be the foundation of any being- continuously reminding us and initiating us into the highest reality. This is the way that The Avatar himself grew up and how He is raising the students of Nithyananda Gurukul, the school established to create the next generation of superconscious beings. |
1982-1988 | 4 | 9 July 2017 | Guru Poornima Message 2017 | HDH offers His deepest reverence and respect to the Guru Parampara, the unbroken lineage of Gurus who have given their lives to protect Sanatana Hindu Dharma. The Guru Parampara is the sole cause of Hindus still being able to practice and enjoy as their religion today. In this discourse HDH offers His respect for His own Gurus who made Him into who He is. The Guru-shishya relationship is the most sacred aspect of Hinduism which we all must keep as the foremost relationship in our lives to reach the ultimate goal of Enlightenment. |
1989 | 11 | 22 October 2017 | Surrender of Isakki Swamigal | "I remember once - in Tiruvannamalai, these wandering monks will come. One Sadhu from Puri Jagganath brought the Maha Prasadam (Rice). Kuppamal Swami, Isakki Swamigal and Yogananda Puri - all three were sitting in a place called Panchamukham (a place where Arunachala Hill appears as Mahasadashiva with the beautiful five faces - 5 hillocks). It was evening and started to get a little cold, and I was collecting some tiny bush pieces to build a fire for my gurus. Rubbing old stones of the Hill are very useful to get the fire started - because the Hill was the embodiment of fire! This devotee came and brought the Maha Prasadam from Puri Jagganath and put it at their feet presenting it with so much devotion and love. My Gurus started to eat and they asked me also to eat. It was looking very hard, I felt how can I eat this and digest? Issaki Swamigal made a very beautiful statement - “If it is brought in front of you, your stomach is empowered to digest , so eat”.
The kind of surrender! and floating on the surrender every moment! - I think in his whole life he never hit a rock - the so called what you say disillusionment or so called reality. I think throughout his life, he lived in ecstasy - ecstasy of surrender where you are taken care of, supported, no conflict between inner and outer space. It is very difficult for a common man to grasp that space possible. It was very powerful word. The moment he uttered, it just clicked with me. " |
1989 | 11 | 5 September 2020 | Superconscious Mutation Process for Celibacy | In this talk, HDH reveals in profound and breakthrough details about the Superconscious Mutation Process which His gurus had organized for Him to express the ultimate superconsciousness through brahmacharya, or celibacy. This process included the use of the akasha garuda herb. This is the herb which HDH reveals was used in the superconscious mutation process for celibacy. The English name of this herb is Indian Bryonia. The herb's scientific name is Corallocarpus epigaeus and used in siddha and ayurveda medicine. The herb is a "tuber" or a plant which as grown completely underground without the need of sun or water. |
1990 | 12 | 26 January 2016 | The Right Way To Prepare For Death | His Divine Holiness mentioned His Great Guru Isakki Swamigal while speaking on the great truths on the Science of Breath. |
1995 | 17 | 22 January 2015 | The Conscious Centric Civilization | In His morning Satsang, while elaborating on 'Completion" and 'The Conscious - Centric Civilization' HDH mentioned that 'The disciple’s first responsibility is building the Guru’s Samadhi if the Guru has left the body. Because, my Guru, Vibhootananda Puri, how she struggled, but built her guru’s Samadhi! Just like that! Isakki Swamigal’s (Vibhootananda Puri’s guru) Samadhi, even now you can see when you go around Arunachala Hill'. HDH further beautifully explained that 'Human society has to get back to Completion naturally, and naturally we ARE evolving towards Completion. We are coming from Completion, going towards Completion. Incompletion is in-between imagination' |
