+ | One of the… our devotee, before seeing Me, he was a doctor, professional doctor. After seeing and attending the classes, he resigned his job and everything and became an Ashram resident. His friend was speaking to another friend, “Don't go to Nithyananda Swami. See what happened to him. His whole life has changed.” When our devotee heard this, he said, “What happened? I am much more happier than you. I am much more joyful than you. My whole life is totally different now. Don't think you should be feeling sorry for me. I should be feeling sorry for you.”
+ | |||
+ | (01:07) | ||
+ | |||
+ | But when you look at from the outside, of course, it is not that anybody whose life is transformed will come and settle in the Ashram. Then I will have no place. It is not that way but when the transformation happens you move towards the truth. To move towards the truth, to go behind the truth you need courage. You need real logic. A man who is logician, a real logical person will have always the courage to move towards the truth. If the truth shows something he will have nothing to hold himself. He will not stop. He will not bother about anything. Just he will move towards that line. That is the real courage or real attitude of a scientist, of a logic man who is logical.
+ | |||
+ | (02:11) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Whenever a new truth is discovered, new hypothesis is brought to the light, a real scientist will work on it. If you are not courageous enough to work on the truth, if you are not courageous enough to come out of your shells, you are not man who is logical. So the transformation fear is such deep most of the time we do not want to follow the truth. “No, no, no, we have responsibilities, Swamiji. We have this.” We have all sorts of reasons or self created regulations not to let the truth to penetrate our life.
+ | |||
+ | (03:10) | ||
+ | |||
+ | One of our devotee was asking Me, “Swamiji, what is the real duty of a man?” The real duty or purpose of a man is nothing but achieving bliss inside his being. That is the first duty. Unless he achieves bliss inside, he cannot give it to others. Till a person achieves bliss inside, even if he lives and takes care of all his responsibilities he will not be doing totality or perfect things. He will be only making others as his slaves or himself as a slave for others. He will be only living not in a real sense, just pulling and pushing. Either he will pull or push. Either he will push or pull. The first duty of anybody is to achieve bliss inside. Only then even his regular duties he will be able to just discharge or do it properly. So understanding the meditation is the greatest thing to be achieved in the life, understanding the bliss is the real solid thing to be achieved in the life and after understanding, ready to start is what I call courage.
+ | |||

+ | |||
+ | Next thing, power to put the things at stake is the real thing. Many people start somehow. When they see Me and especially when the people see Me, naturally they get inspired to see some personality like this always joyful. Yesterday somebody was asking Me in the Energy Darshan, “Swamiji, bless me I should be joyful just like you. I should be ecstatic just like you.” Somebody asked Me. He doesn't know how much of responsibility I have to take to be in this ecstasy. People always wants to have the joy but nobody wants to take the responsibility. If you really want the joy, energy and responsibility both of them come in a same package.
+ | |||

+ | |||
+ | One of the Ashram resident, he was just tired of working so many hours. He asked Me, “Swamiji, after all you are enlightened. You are always joyful. Why should we work? We all simply sit together here. Morning till evening we can go on talking and enjoying and meditating. Why should we serve society, Swamiji? Why should we do service? After all, You are happy wherever You are and we are happy just by being around You. Why should we work at all? Why should we serve the society at all? It is a real question. Why should we work? And they know that whatever work is done or not I am quite comfortable. Always I am happy, joyful. “You are always joyful. You are our master. Why should we work at all?” I told him, “What you are asking is perfectly alright but a strange thing. When you are ready to take the responsibility to serve the world, when you are ready to take the responsibility of compassion, feeling for others, only then energy descends on you.”
+ | |||
+ | (07:07) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Two things: compassion, the responsibility of serving the world. A man who is ready to take the responsibility of spreading his love and bliss, only on him enlightenment descends. I told him enlightenment comes only as a package. Energy and responsibility both come always together. I also thought before enlightenment, “After enlightenment I will be joyful. I will not do anything. I will be just in ecstasy, all by Myself.” But of course I am in ecstasy, joy but not the way I thought. I thought there will be no responsibilities but only when you become enlightened you will understand the responsibility of whole world, the feeling for others, feeling for every being, only with that responsibility the enlightenment descends on you, the energy descends on you- energy and responsibility. Whenever you take responsibility, whenever you feel responsible only then energy descends on you, only then the power descends on you. Power to put the things at stake. Many people when they see Me, such a joyful ecstatic life they get inspired, “Yes, we should also meditate. We should also meditate.” But they are not ready to put their life at stake. They are not ready to put their life at stake.

+ | |||
+ | A small story: | ||
+ | Once a atheist went to a picnic to a big mountain. Somehow at the time of walking around, he fell from a hill cliff, the mountain cliff. He fell from a cliff and he is just holding just one root of a tree and shouting, “Please, is there anybody? Save me, save me.” Nobody was there and the root of the tree also is slowly coming down and he is sure he is going to now die. Nobody will even know where he has gone. Nobody could even see his body. Nobody will be able to even see his body. He knows that he is going to die. Suddenly he thought, “Anyhow I am going to die. Why not give a trial to God also.
+ | |||
+ | (10:09) | ||
+ | |||
+ | He shouted, “Oh God! Please save me. Oh God! Please save me. Oh God! Please save me. If you save me I will believe that you are… you exist.”
+ | Then from above God said, “Alright! Don't worry. I will hold you. You let go this hand. You just let go this hand. I will take care of you.”
+ | Immediately he shouted, “Is there anybody else who can save me? Is there anybody else who can save me?”
+ | We are not ready to put things at stake. In one hand we hold God, the other hand we tie the camel. In one hand we do this, in one hand we do that. If you put $100, if you win you will get only $200. If you put $1000 if you win, you will get thousand Dollars but the courage to put things at stake.
+ | And many people come and tell Me, “Swamiji, I don't have time to meditate at all.”
+ | I tell them, “Never tell that way. Tell I don't give so much of importance to meditation. I will agree. You can never tell I don't have time.”
+ | |||
+ | (11:33) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Everybody has got only twenty four hours. Then people who meditate do you think all of them have no other work?” Everybody has got time. Be very clear, you don't give so much of importance to meditation. That is perfectly alright. Then you are honest at least for your sake. You can tell to others. You can always tell lie to others, “No, no, no. I don't have time to meditate. I have too much commitments,” but at least for your sake, you understand you don't give so much of importance to meditation, that's all. You have some more important thing or you think something else is more important than meditation. That is the truth. It is only priority, not that, not that you don't have time which is your choice for which you want to give priority. So people who wants to give priority something else, they will give for that. People who want to
+ | give priority to meditation, they will give for that.
+ | |||
+ | (12:47) | ||
+ | |||
+ | One day night around 2 o'clock I received a phone call and he is weeping, “Swamiji, please guide me. Please help me. I feel I will die from this problem. I have severe urgent problem, serious urgent problem.”
+ | I told him, “Arey! In midnight 2 o'clock even if I give suggestion how are you going to work it out? Come tomorrow morning.”
+ | He said, “No, no, no. Just now I want to come and see You directly. Please help me.”
+ | I said, “Arey! midnight 2 o'clock. I have no problem. I have not yet gone to bed. Now only meditation is over. I am going. But midnight 2 o'clock what are you going to do even if I give suggestion, how will you solve?
+ | “No, no, it is too serious problem, Swamiji. Otherwise I will die if I don't find the solution. It is like my death, life and death question.”
+ | “Alright, come early morning 5:30. Otherwise Ashram door… actually Ashram door will be closed in the night and early morning only they will open. Ashram gate, I have to now call all My people to go and open the door and it is a disturbance inside the Ashram and each one has got their routine. Morning they have to get up. Come in the.... Why don't you come in the morning?”
+ | Then he said, “No, no, Swamiji. Morning I have to go to office.”
+ | You see, he says it is a life and death question. Problem of seriousness but morning I have to go to office. See the priorities of the people.
+ | Then I told him, “You cannot have appointment. Thank you.”
+ | |||
+ | (14:40) | ||
+ | |||
+ | It is just the priorities. It is not real thing. So whenever you really have the power to stake you put the maximum.
+ | Yesterday I was telling an incident. One guy asked Me, “Have You seen God, Swamiji?”
+ | I told, “Yes.” | ||
+ | “Can you show me?” | ||
+ | I told him, “Verily. Come and practice whatever I practice. You can always see him.”
+ | Nobody is ready to practice. Nobody is ready to put at stake.
+ | A story from Buddha's life:
+ | |||
+ | (15:30) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Somebody went and asked Buddha, “Buddha, why don't you give enlightenment to everybody? If you want you can give. Why don't you give to everybody?”
+ | Buddha said, “Please go round this village and take accounts how many wants enlightenment and come back in the evening.”
+ | When that man came he brought some ten people. See, these are the people who wants enlightenment.
+ | Then Buddha said, “Alright, tomorrow onwards we will start the meditation. Please come.”
+ | And next day only five came. Third day two came. You know after a week how many would have been there.
+ | |||
+ | (16:18) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Everybody wants things. You see, people think enlightenment is also like one more object which can have there in their house like a showcase things. They have so many statues and beautiful things. Enlightenment is also one more showpiece- You see, I have enlightenment. If something new happens, if some new guest comes, you take them and show all over the house, na? You see, I have this campbell cock, Lexus cock. I have this, I have that. Look at here, look at there. This I brought from Tibet. This I brought from Varanasi of India. This I brought from China. You show. Just like that you think you can show enlightenment also. You see, I have got enlightenment from Nithyananda Swami from India fresh- new brand, the best modern, latest enlightenment.
+ | |||
+ | (17:14) | ||
+ | |||
+ | People want things but they are not ready to stake. They are not ready to put the things at stake. The power to stake, power to undergo the meditation or the power to transform your life, power to decide to live the truths. I always tell them, truth does not have one meaning as you understand. Truth has got three meaning. As on now, truth means you know only one thing- speaking the truth but it does not mean. Truth has got three dimension: Speaking the truth, thinking the truth and living the truth. Thinking the truth means continuous search to find what is truth. Living the truth means whatever you find as truth you must be able to live it, you must be ready to live it. Many people come and tell Me, “Swamiji, I know what You say is truth but I am not able to practice.” Can you say, “I know touching fire is… fire will burn me but I am not able to resist myself touching it.” You never say that. You know it. When you know it, the very knowing transforms it. If it is not transformed you, be very sure you have not known it. There is some serious problem in the wisdom, in the knowing. So anything when you understand, the very truth transforms you.

+ | The power to understand the truth, the power to go behind the truth is the second thing, power to stake. Third thing, energy to let go. This is the real thing. In this ultimate gambling you can be sure of one thing. This is the major difference between gambling and this ultimate gambling. In this ultimate gambling you will never lose anything, you will only gain. That is the greatness of this gambling. In this gambling, you will gain only ultimately. You will never lose anything but to start, to walk, to let go, you need courage. Let go means you will come upon a space, you will come upon a time when the seed dies to become a tree. You will come up on that moment. When the seed dies to become a tree, it has got a tremendous insecurity, “Will I really become a tree?” It has got a terrible fear to die as a seed but unless seed dies as a seed, unless seed opens up, tree can never happen. That is why they call Nirvana the last nightmare. It is the last nightmare. It is a wild dream you can have.
+ | |||
+ | (02:03) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Now understand one thing. How you come out of your dreams? If the dream is too wild, automatically you wake up, you come to the wakeful state. If you see a lion in the dream, the next moment you are out. You wake up. Same way, if you see some wild things in the life, you wake up to the ultimate enlightenment. So enlightenment happens when a sudden shock happens also. Awareness and sudden shock, if both happens to you, you wake up from the dream state. That is why in Zen monasteries… in Zen monasteries there are strange techniques to make a man enlightened.
+ | |||
+ | (02:56) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Once a master was walking in the third floor of his building, enlightened master. One disciple came to him, asked, “Master, I want enlightenment.” Master didn't answer. He was just walking. Again the disciple was following but very sincere fellow, sincere disciple. When they were walking near the parapet wall, again the disciple asked, “Master, please give me enlightenment.” Suddenly the master turned and pushed him from the third floor, just pushed him but the disciple has got so much of love and trust on the master, even at the time of falling, “When he does, there must be something good.” Totally relaxed, calm, cool. He is just falling but his being is not at all shaken. The story says.... not story, it is actually incident happened. The story says, his body fell but never his being. When he fell, he fell like a flower and got up just to dance.
+ | |||
+ | (04:24) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Of course, you may think how can this be fact? How can a man fall from the third floor and just get up to dance? But there is one modern research which says, which proves this is possible. It says your heaviness only makes damage in your system. If you don't have heaviness, even if you fall, your body never resists the nature. They have worked on the kids. See, when the kids fall, they don't get hurt much. Much they don't get the injury. The damage is very less and through so many things they worked. Finally they say, when you fall in the river, you just go deep. After you die, your dead body floats but your dead body is much heavier than your living body. Why? Living persons, they get drowned but the dead body floats. And once you are dead, the whole body is filled with water. That is one more thing. It becomes more heavy and filled with water but dead body floats. Living beings are drowning, why? From this research they proved your ego, your solidness only is the main reason for the damage caused. The damage is caused more because of your ego and solidness.
+ | |||
+ | (06:24) | ||
+ | |||
+ | There was a great dancer. I forgot his name. At one moment of his whirling…. he is a whirling dancer, Sufi whirling dancer. At one moment of his dance, he used to just fly from the sky and used to roll on the sky and land. When he lands, never, never, never he was hurt and this flying yoga, flying yogis, the group of meditators who practice this levitation, flying yoga. Even the scientific studies are done on the levitators. I have read in a magazine, a article in Time magazine, August 2003. If you see, you can see the article, a scientific research on levitation. They prove the egolessness can levitate your body. If you can fall without ego, body never gets hurt. This man when he was pushed from the third floor, the trust and the courage to stake the whole thing, in one moment he became enlightened.
+ | People asked Me, “Swamiji, why don't you also give enlightenment like that to us?”
+ | I told them, “The disciple is really..... disciple was trusting the master totally.” First of all, people don't have trust. Second thing, law suits. But one thing, with masters, never, never, never failure happens. That is the beauty. This is the system, foolproof system. Never failure happens.
+ | |||
+ | (08:37) | ||
+ | |||
+ | One more small story: | ||
+ | There was a disciple. He is a Naga tradition. Naga means the vedantic tradition. He is a disciple of vedantic tradition. The master used to everyday give discourse. The master has got some special ways of speaking, special accent and special ways of moving the hands. The disciple by and by, seeing, seeing, seeing the master, he just thought one day, ”Let me imitate the master.” And he used to just stand back side the master and imitate as master does. As master does the whole thing, he used to imitate and master also knows, “Let this guy do,” but that guy has so much of love and devotion for the master, master never minds that.
+ | |||
+ | (09:45) | ||
+ | |||
+ | One day when he was imitating just behind the master he was standing and imitating the master, as master does. Naga Sanyasis used to keep a big sword with them always. Suddenly he took that sword and cut the hand of the disciple. Just he cut the finger, one finger of the disciple. Again the disciple was having so much of trust and devotion for the master, he thought, “When he does, it must be good.” Now you can always think, “Oh! When Swami does, it is good.” At that moment, at that moment, that is the grand thing. That is the real thing and the story says, his finger fell along with his ego. The moment, he became enlightened!
+ | |||
+ | (10:43) | ||
+ | |||
+ | And then next day, disciples asked him. The disciples took him, took this disciple and they did all the medical first aid, everything. He became alright. Next day, they asked him, “Alright master, he became enlightened. That is great but he lost his finger and he has to undergo the pain and we have to do all these things. What do you say about that?”
+ | Master said, “For the sake of enlightenment, people work lives after lives. Losing one finger is nothing wrong, leave it.”
+ | |||
+ | (11:19) | ||
+ | |||
+ | People who are ready to put the things at stake only are real gamblers. Only they are the courageous one, only they are the qualified one to play this ultimate game, to play this ultimate game. Meditation does not mean you will just change your routine, half an hour extra. Just you will change half an hour of your routine. No, it means you will change your whole quality of your routine. Meditation has nothing to do with quantity of your routine, it has got quality of your routine. If you take up the meditation, whole life will change, whole understanding will change, whole life will become new. That is what is real meditation.
+ | |||
+ | (12:16) | ||
+ | |||
+ | When you meditate, you gamble your whole life. You put your whole life at stake. Only then the transformation can happen. If you put 10%, you will get only 10%. If you put the whole, then only you can have holy. If you put your whole, then only you can become holy. The power to stake the things is what is real power or second step for the ultimate gambling, or energy to let go, energy to let go, energy to allow the transformation happen. As I was telling you, the seed will always undergo a terrible fear, insecured feeling, “I am dying. Will I really become tree?” That fear will be there. You have to undergo that fear. You have to let go that fear. Only then the transformation is possible. The energy to let go. Only then the transformation is possible.
+ | |||
+ | (13:41) | ||
+ | |||
+ | In Christian theology, there is a beautiful word, ‘Dark night of the soul.’ They say, this last moment, the last nightmare, Nirvana, the last nightmare, what Buddhists say as the Last nightmare, christian theology, christian mystics say as the Dark night of the soul. There will be one moment. Your whole ego will be just dying. Your whole ego will be just dying and you have to let go the past to die. Enlightenment never happens as a continuity; it happens as a new birth. Never think as on you, you will have a crown. Enlightenment is never like a crown. You can be as you are and just have one more crown. No, it is a total new birth. What Christians call as the Dark night of the soul, what Buddhists call as Last nightmare, Hindus call ‘Vishada.’ In Bhagavad Gita, the first chapter is Arjuna Vishada Yoga. Arjuna was totally confused, totally depressed, do not know what to do, where to go. He was facing the Dark night of the soul. He was facing a total depression but he was ready to let go and follow the Krishna.
+ | |||
+ | (15:26) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Whenever you are in confusion..... confusion means dilemma- whether to do this or do that. When you are in dilemma, whatever decision you take, the dilemma will continue. If you take this and proceed, “If I would have taken that, all these things would have happened.” If you take this and proceed, again, “If I had taken that, all these things would have happened.” Whenever you take choice from dilemma, any decision, again the hangover of dilemma continues. When a master guides you, you must be ready to drop the dilemma and follow behind it, go behind it. Arjuna had the courage. That is why Krishna could give the enlightenment to him, the Vishwaroopa Darshana to him. The power to let go, the energy to let go, energy to allow the dark night or the nightmare to happen to you. Even at the time of nightmare, if you have the trust on the master, the trust on the Energy, only then the ultimate game can happen to you.
+ | |||
+ | (16:57) | ||
+ | |||
+ | There was a master, George Gurdieff. He used to practice strange techniques to make people enlightened. He had a big water stream inside his Ashram. Both sides of the river is his Ashram, a big river. He had a strange technique. Whenever he shouts, “Stop,” whomsoever doing whatever work inside the Ashram they should stop as they are and sit there itself and meditate. You may be doing some work in kitchen but you should drop and sit and meditate. You may be in the bathroom. You should drop and sit and meditate. Whenever he shouts, “Stop,” immediately you should enter into meditation. He will release the special energy to touch everybody.
+ | |||
+ | (17:56) | ||
+ | |||
+ | One day, some three disciples were working on the river. He shouted, “Stop” and all the three sat and started meditating. Suddenly unfortunately, the flood started coming. At that moment, flood started coming. First disciple, as soon as the disciple felt that the flood is coming, “Oh! Flood is coming. Let me get up.” He got up and went away. Second man, till the water came to his neck level, he was sitting. Then he thought, “I think master may not be knowing the flood is coming. Better let me escape and save myself.” Ran away. Third fellow, just he was sitting, sitting, sitting. The story says, not only he, his ego is also drowned and new being floated. When he was floating, he was new being!
+ | |||
+ | (19:06) | ||
+ | |||
+ | The trust to undergo the unknown space.... enlightenment or meditation is more or less like a walking into the forest with your eyes tied. That is why in meditation I tie your eyes. It is walking just like eyes tied. You have only one hold- the master's hand or the God’s feet. Holding that energy to let go, energy to accept the new thing which is going to happen in your life, energy to transcend the fear of losing your old personality. Whenever you deeply meditate, you will see, your old personality is slowly withering away, your old desires are withering away, your old thinking is withering away. In your life itself something new starts happening, something new starts flowering. Your understanding is changing, your life is changing, your thinking style is changing, your working method is changing. Everything is totally changing. So if you have power, energy to let go, to let the things change, you have the third quality to do, to play this ultimate game.

+ | First thing, courage to start. Next thing, power to put your whole effort, power to put the things at stake. People will meditate till the family people don't resist. Once somebody says, opposes, “Alright, I have to take care of the family. Let me stop the meditation. That is not for me.” I have seen so many people. Even today one of the devotee came and complained, “My husband is not at all understanding. Forcing me not to do meditation, Swamiji. What should I do?”
+ | |||
+ | (0:52) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Ramakrishna gives a beautiful solution. If it is spiritual thing, it is perfectly alright to go beyond your husband's word or father's word or husband's word. He gives a open sanction to go against father, mother, husband or duties or responsibilities for the sake of spirituality is perfectly alright. Because you go beyond society when you really go towards Enlightenment. Nothing wrong, he says. So the power to put things at stake is the second thing. It makes you walk towards spirituality.
+ | |||
+ | (01:43) | ||
+ | |||
+ | Third thing, to let go the ultimate ego, to let go your old personality, to let go your being totally, to face the last nightmare, having the trust even at the moment of last nightmare, having the trust even at the moment of seed breaking because seed does not know whether it will become tree or not. Deep insecurity. Same way, at one moment, you also feel deep insecurity, “Will I really become enlightened? Am I worthy of that? Am I really spiritual person? Will I really grow?” Courage to have trust at the master and let go this fear from you is the last step. To face the last nightmare, to undergo the Dark night of the soul, to survive, withstand the Vishada or the soul’s cruising depression is the last quality to do this ultimate gambling.
+ | |||
+ | (03:11) | ||
+ | |||
+ | When you do this ultimate gambling, you cross through all these three steps but I tell you, one great thing, in this gambling, no losing, no losing. In this gambling, only one thing: winning. That is the only difference between ordinary gambling and this gambling because this is ultimate gambling. So let you understand the methods of gambling and let you do this ultimate gambling staking your Mithyananda and achieving, attaining Nithyananda, Eternal Bliss. Let you achieve Eternal Bliss through this gambling. Let you be in become Eternal Bliss, Nithyananda.
+ | Thank you | ||

For ordinary gambler, what all is necessary, what all the qualities and same qualities, how it is necessary in ultimate sense for a ultimate gambler, a meditator. For ordinary gambler three things are necessary. The courage to understand the laws of gambling. In the very laws of gambling itself people will drop. Oh, it will go away. If it is goes, it goes. It comes, it comes.
[00:00:52]
The very understanding - courage to start, power to proceed, energy to let go - these three things are necessary for a gambler. Courage to start, understand the laws of gambling and even after understanding, courage. Next thing power, real power to start playing, to staking, to stake the whole thing. To stake whatever you can. Third thing, energy to let go - Energy to accept the new thing, whether it is positive or negative, whether it is positive or negative. A gambler needs these three qualities only then he can be a real gambler. The power, the courage to start, courage to understand the laws of gambling and even after understanding, courage to start. Next thing, power to put the things at stake. You have to put the things in front. You have to put, you have to start. The last thing, power, the energy to let go; whether it is positive or negative you must be able to accept it or enjoy it. Don’t think only to accept negativity you need energy, even to accept positive things you need energy.
[00:02:42]
A small story. Once a man who is having heart problem won five million dollar in lottery. The news has reached his wife. The problem is wife is afraid to tell this news to the husband because husband has got weak heart. If she says, maybe due to excitement or sudden thing, he may collapse. He may die. So she is afraid how to tell this news to him. How to convey this news to him without giving a shock to him? Because this guy is a very poor guy. Five million dollars means something great for him. It is too much for him. How he will be able to digest such a big gift because anything big is always a shock. Whether it is positive or negative, anything big is shock.
[00:03:57]
She went to the local priest and told the priest about her problem: “Please tell me some way, pray to God.” Priest said with all his confidence: “Don’t worry Ma. I know your husband for last 25 years, so I know how to talk to him. Don’t worry about it. I will take care. I will convey this news to him without giving him a shock”, but she said: “No, no, no please don’t take any chance, because he is heart patient. His heart is very weak. His system is very weak. Take care. No question of playing any game because it is life and death question.” Priest was very confident, he said: “No, don’t worry. I will take care. What you want? He should not be shocked, only that much na? I know how to start, how to proceed, how to end. Don't worry. I will take care.”
[00:05:05]
Anyhow, priest proceeded. Priest went to his house, had a long chatting. After that slowly he started: “You see, in a vision I saw that God is going to shower his best wishes and blessings on you. You're going to have a fortunate, you are going to have a some fortune things, some good things, some good luck.” After that story he started: “You may win a lottery, you do not know.” The man is very excited. “Oh, is it so? I do not know, maybe that’s nice, that will be a grand thing.” Priest slowly asked: “If you win suddenly five million dollars. How it will be? What will you do? How will you enjoy? The man got so excited and said: “Five million dollars! Half of it I will give it to your church.” The priest fell and died. 😀
[00:06:23]
It is not so easy to accept, even the positive things. Even to accept the positive things you need the power to let go, the energy to let go. Courage to start. Power to stake, energy to let go. Courage to start is understanding the laws and starting; because in the very beginning understanding laws itself many will drop. Power to stake. You can stake either $100 or $1000 or even a million dollars, the power to put the maximum - that is the second thing. Third thing, energy to let go. Energy to go, to accept the truth - even if you gain or you have lost, both the way you need energy.
[00:07:33]
Now let us see how these three things are necessary in ultimate sense, in ultimate way to play the gambling of meditation. The ultimate gambling. First thing, understanding the laws. Understanding the structure of universe, structure of meditation. How it should be done. Why it should be done? What is the benefit? What I am going to gain? What really is going to happen to me? Without that can't I manage?
[00:08:28]
Somebody asked me: “Swamiji, if everything is evolving according to Darvin theory, monkey has become man. Everything is evolving, then why should we meditate? Naturally by our evolution man is going to become God. Why should we meditate? What is the need for some more inspiration? It is going to happen. Why should we do it?” I told him: for a monkey to become man, for a Chimpanzee to become man it took five thousand years in the evolution process. Again it is going to take five thousand more years for you to become God. So, five thousand years if you want to wait, you can wait and come through the path of evolution or take up the meditation, you will enter into the zone of revolution. Never by evolution; it’s going to take it’s own time. Only by revolution you can achieve what can be really achieved. The Godhood or the enlightenment can be achieved only by revolution not by evolution.
[00:09:56]
So very understanding itself makes many people drop it. Many people drop the meditation or the concept, even with very understanding. Many people just by listening the word Las Vegas, ‘No, no, no, that is not for us.’ Many people drop, many people think ‘meditation is not for me Swamiji. I am not cut for that. I am too modern minded.’ Many people think ‘I am very practical and logic Swamiji. Meditation is not for me.’ Foolish people think that they are logical. A real man who is logical will always see the truth behind the meditation or the spirituality.
[00:10:46]
In India, especially Tamil Nadu there is a group of people called logical and they say there is no God. Somebody came and asked Me: “Swamiji, what do you think about them?” I told them, ‘You see, to believe there is a God you don’t need to be fanatic. There are so many proofs. Even this world is proof that God exists; because the creator… its existing. There must be some creator made this creation? To believe there is a God, you don’t need high fanaticism or you don’t need to be logical. Simple logic is enough. To believe there is no God you need real fanaticism. Even after so many proofs, you stand on your point. So to believe, to be an atheist only you will be more illogical. So people who is atheist or against spirituality is a real person who is illogical. A real logic or understanding will naturally lead you to the ultimate, will naturally lead you to the ultimate search. So never think we have many people, most of us have got idea. People come and tell Me: “Swamiji, my husband is very practical and logical. He will not come for meditation and all. What should I do Swamiji?” Never tell that way. Tell always, ‘Swamiji my husband is illogical and impractical, he will not come for meditation.’ Change your words.
[00:12:35]
Even our people have got idea. They come and tell Me, ‘my husband is very practical. He will not come for all these things.’ Change. Always now, now onwards you tell: “My husband is illogical and impractical, that is why he will not come to meditation Swamiji.” People who understand the logic, people who understand the practicality, people who really understand what it is, they always have the courage to start. But the main…. One more thing people who really understand, if they enter the meditation their whole life will change, their whole life is going to be totally different, after that if they don’t come then it means they don’t have courage. It is courage; the fear of transformation, fear of transformation is one of the greatest obstacles in the spiritual life. We are actually, we all think, we wanted to be, we want transformation. But if you look little deep you will understand your tremendous fear of transformation.
[00:13:53]
Many people come and tell Me: “Swamiji, I meditate so seriously, but I don’t seem to change. Transformation is not happening.” Then be very clear, you are not meditating. You believe you are meditating. Many people come and tell Me, “I do meditation Swamiji, but I don't follow your teachings.” It means you think you are meditating, you never meditate.
[00:14:22]
A small example, if you are supposed to go early morning six o'clock flight. You would have kept the alarm for four o'clock to get up in the house. After the alarm goes, you must be feeling too tired...whole night you would have done the packing work, you just put out the alarm and think just two minutes I’ll have nap. After five minutes I will get up and go for bathroom. In that five minutes you will always have a dream as if you already got up and you are taking bath or you are getting ready, you are moving your bags to go to the airport. Any of you have experienced?
[00:15:14]
In that gap, in the dream you will be dreaming, you already got up, you are getting ready, you are moving your luggages to your car, you are on the road. Any of you experienced this type of dreams? In the dream, you will be dreaming that you are on the road, you are travelling towards the airport. Your cunning mind just to keep you in dream state, in the dream it shows as if you are already travelling. If the truth that you are not travelling, if it is told to you, told to you, you will get up, you will get ready and move. But you have to be kept lying, you have to be kept in the slumber. So what to do? Your mind shows you are already awakened. You are going towards the airport. It will show as if everything is going smoothly, properly.
[00:16:17]
This is the same way your mind shows here also. If you think I am meditating but not transformation has happened, check again. Where all you have problems? Where all you are missing? You also must be dreaming just like this dreamer, just like this person. You also must be doing the same mistake of this person. You must be lying in the bed and dreaming as if you are driving. You also must be doing the same thing. You must be dreaming as if you have already entered into spiritual life, everyday you are going to Nithyananda Swami’s discourse and you are practicing meditations. What more should be done? Everything I am doing. You will be dreaming as if you are doing everything.
[00:17:12]
The fear of transformation is a very deep fear. It needs courage to face the reality and to transform your life. Only a man who is courageous to face the fear of transformation… One of the our devotee, before seeing Me he was a doctor, professional doctor. After seeing and attending the classes he resigned his job and everything and became an Ashram resident. His friend was speaking to another friend: “Don’t go to Nithyananda Swami, see what happened to him. His whole life has changed.” When our devotee heard this, he said: “What happened? I am much more happier than you. I am much more joyful than you. My whole life is totally different now. Don’t think you should be feeling sorry for me. I should be feeling sorry for you.” But when I look at from outside... Of course, it is not that anybody whose life is transformed will come and settle in the ashram. Then I will have no place. It is not that they… but when the transformation happens, you move towards the truth. To move towards the truth, to go behind the truth you need courage! You need real logic. A man who is logician, a real logical person will have always a courage to move towards the truth. If the truth shows something, he will have nothing to hold himself. He will not stop, he will not bother about anything, just he will move towards that line. That is the real courage or real attitude of a scientist, of a logic man who is logical. Whenever a new truth is discovered, a new hypothesis is brought to the light, a real scientist will work on it. If you are not courageous enough to work on the truth, if you are not courageous enough to come out of your shells, you are not man who is logical.
[00:19:54]
So, the transformation fear is such deep. Most of the time we do not want to follow the truth. ‘No, no, no, we have responsibilities Swamiji. We have this…’ we have all sorts of reasons or self created regulations, not to let the truth to penetrate our life.

One of the… our devotee, before seeing Me, he was a doctor, professional doctor.
(01:07)
But when you look at from the outside, of course, it is not that anybody whose life is transformed will come and settle in the Ashram.
(02:11)
Whenever a new truth is discovered, new hypothesis is brought to the light, a real scientist will work on it.
(03:10)
One of our devotee was asking Me, “Swamiji, what is the real duty of a man?” The real duty or purpose of a man is nothing but achieving bliss inside his being.
(04:51)
Next thing, power to put the things at stake is the real thing.
(05:47)
One of the Ashram resident, he was just tired of working so many hours.
(07:07)
Two things: compassion, the responsibility of serving the world.
(08:58)
A small story: Once a atheist went to a picnic to a big mountain.
(10:09)
He shouted, “Oh God! Please save me. Oh God! Please save me. Oh God! Please save me. If you save me I will believe that you are… you exist.” Then from above God said, “Alright! Don't worry. I will hold you. You let go this hand. You just let go this hand. I will take care of you.” Immediately he shouted, “Is there anybody else who can save me? Is there anybody else who can save me?” We are not ready to put things at stake. In one hand we hold God, the other hand we tie the camel. In one hand we do this, in one hand we do that. If you put $100, if you win you will get only $200. If you put $1000 if you win, you will get thousand Dollars but the courage to put things at stake. And many people come and tell Me, “Swamiji, I don't have time to meditate at all.” I tell them, “Never tell that way. Tell I don't give so much of importance to meditation. I will agree. You can never tell I don't have time.”
(11:33)
Everybody has got only twenty four hours. People who want to give priority to meditation, they will give for that.
(12:47)
One day night around 2 o'clock I received a phone call and he is weeping, “Swamiji, please guide me. Please help me. I feel I will die from this problem. I have severe urgent problem, serious urgent problem.” I told him, “Arey! In midnight 2 o'clock even if I give suggestion how are you going to work it out? Come tomorrow morning.” He said, “No, no, no. Just now I want to come and see You directly. Please help me.” I said, “Arey! midnight 2 o'clock. I have no problem. I have not yet gone to bed. Now only meditation is over. I am going. But midnight 2 o'clock what are you going to do even if I give suggestion, how will you solve? “No, no, it is too serious problem, Swamiji. Otherwise I will die if I don't find the solution. It is like my death, life and death question.” “Alright, come early morning 5:30. Otherwise Ashram door… actually Ashram door will be closed in the night and early morning only they will open. Ashram gate, I have to now call all My people to go and open the door and it is a disturbance inside the Ashram and each one has got their routine. Morning they have to get up. Come in the.... Why don't you come in the morning?” Then he said, “No, no, Swamiji. Morning I have to go to office.” You see, he says it is a life and death question. Problem of seriousness but morning I have to go to office. See the priorities of the people. Then I told him, “You cannot have appointment. Thank you.”
(14:40)
It is just the priorities. It is not real thing. So whenever you really have the power to stake you put the maximum. Yesterday I was telling an incident. One guy asked Me, “Have You seen God, Swamiji?” I told, “Yes.” “Can you show me?” I told him, “Verily. Come and practice whatever I practice. You can always see him.” Nobody is ready to practice. Nobody is ready to put at stake. A story from Buddha's life:
(15:30)
Somebody went and asked Buddha, “Buddha, why don't you give enlightenment to everybody? If you want you can give. Why don't you give to everybody?” Buddha said, “Please go round this village and take accounts how many wants enlightenment and come back in the evening.” When that man came he brought some ten people. See, these are the people who wants enlightenment. Then Buddha said, “Alright, tomorrow onwards we will start the meditation. Please come.” And next day only five came. Third day two came. You know after a week how many would have been there.
(16:18)
Everybody wants things.
(17:14)
People want things but they are not ready to stake.

The power to understand the truth, the power to go behind the truth is the second thing, power to stake.
(02:03)
Now understand one thing.
(02:56)
Once a master was walking in the third floor of his building, enlightened master.
(04:24)
Of course, you may think how can this be fact?
(06:24)
There was a great dancer. People asked Me, “Swamiji, why don't you also give enlightenment like that to us?” I told them, “The disciple is really..... disciple was trusting the master totally.” First of all, people don't have trust. Second thing, law suits. But one thing, with masters, never, never, never failure happens. That is the beauty. This is the system, foolproof system. Never failure happens.
(08:37)
One more small story: There was a disciple.
(09:45)
One day when he was imitating just behind the master he was standing and imitating the master, as master does.
(10:43)
And then next day, disciples asked him. The disciples took him, took this disciple and they did all the medical first aid, everything. He became alright. Next day, they asked him, “Alright master, he became enlightened. That is great but he lost his finger and he has to undergo the pain and we have to do all these things. What do you say about that?” Master said, “For the sake of enlightenment, people work lives after lives. Losing one finger is nothing wrong, leave it.”
(11:19)
People who are ready to put the things at stake only are real gamblers.
(12:16)
When you meditate, you gamble your whole life.
(13:41)
In Christian theology, there is a beautiful word, ‘Dark night of the soul.’ They say, this last moment, the last nightmare, Nirvana, the last nightmare, what Buddhists say as the Last nightmare, christian theology, christian mystics say as the Dark night of the soul.
(15:26)
Whenever you are in confusion..... confusion means dilemma- whether to do this or do that.
(16:57)
There was a master, George Gurdieff.
(17:56)
One day, some three disciples were working on the river.
(19:06)
The trust to undergo the unknown space.... enlightenment or meditation is more or less like a walking into the forest with your eyes tied.

First thing, courage to start.
(0:52)
Ramakrishna gives a beautiful solution.
(01:43)
Third thing, to let go the ultimate ego, to let go your old personality, to let go your being totally, to face the last nightmare, having the trust even at the moment of last nightmare, having the trust even at the moment of seed breaking because seed does not know whether it will become tree or not.
(03:11)
When you do this ultimate gambling, you cross through all these three steps but I tell you, one great thing, in this gambling, no losing, no losing. Thank you

HIS MISSION
His Divine Holiness Bhagwan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam is giving superconscious breakthrough to humanity, which is physically demonstrable through various power manifestations, scientifically measurable and stands the scrutiny of rational logic in hundreds and thousands of human beings around the globe.
His Divine Holiness, as per Hinduism, is the Incarnation (Avatar) of Paramashiva – the all-pervading superconscious energy, the source and the original author of ‘VedaAgamas’, which are the Pure Science and Applied Science of Oneness (Advaita), Yoga, Enlightenment and Enlightened lifestyle. As the Vision documents for humanity, the VedaAgamas scientifically and systematically reveal all knowledge currents, ritual methodologies, lifestyle systems and Yogic sciences.
To revive and re-establish the VedaAgamas as a living Applied Science, giving the superconscious breakthrough that humanity is long waiting for in its evolutionary path.
To pioneer a divine evolution, awakening human beings to their extraordinary powers (shaktis) and powerful cognitions (from higher states of Consciousness), building the next level frequency of human body, mind, internal organs and intra organs (such as Third Eye).
To empower humanity to manifest Superconscious powers at individual, societal and global levels.
To re-create a Conscious world where the global issues at the climatic, economic, social, health and 2 humanitarian levels, cease to exist from their very root; turning the problems of poverty, hunger, violence, discrimination into powerful living through the experience of Oneness.
As an Incarnation, He wields Cosmic Intelligence in His global responsibilities as a spiritual leader, inner and outer world scientist, reviver of the superconscious civilization, and above all, a Visionary for humanity. In just 16 years of public life, He has showered His contributions on humanity in the areas of science, technology, meditation, healing, health and wellness, yoga, medicine, education & lifestyle.
More than 20 million people in 347 cities in 196 countries over 6 continents revere and follow His Holiness.
Research
In the Summer of 2004, scientists, researchers and doctors of the Integris Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Center and the PET Center of Oklahoma USA administered a series of tests and analysed the mystic phenomena on the neurological system of His Divine Holiness. His Divine Holiness continuously works with scientists around the world, inviting them to research His own as well as His initiated disciples’ neurological system who live in the enlightenment ecosystem receiving the powerful spiritual initiations, living a life of continuous Conscious growth. The goal of the research is to add scientific legitimacy to Hinduism. In the systematic destruction of Kailaasa, the scientific legitimacy of Hinduism along with the political, spiritual, religious, cultural, economical legitimacy were destroyed. It is not the work of His Divine Holiness to restore the legitimacy back to Hinduism.

Study
Measuring brainwaves: The doctors measured the electrical patterns of the brains using QEEG (Quantitative Electroencephalography). QEEG measures electrical patterns in the brain, patterns commonly refered to as brainwaves.
Discussions
There are four bandwidth of brainwave, indifferent in speed and each associated with a different state of mind. For instance, beta brainwaves are small and fast linked with the awake, alert state of mind. Alpha brainwaves are slower and connected to feelings of well-being. Theta waves represent a state of consciousness between that is close to sleep, a stage in which there is a sense of calmness and serenity without active thought.
In a day's time, most people will experience all four types of brainwaves. The progression from one bandwidth to another, though is not so easily in their control.
In the QEEG test of HDH, though we can see that he has complete control over his brainwaves. When in deep meditation, his brain smoothly shifted from one state to another, like a talented pianist playing the scales. There was no hesitation and no retreating, just continuous, fluid shifts from one type of brainwave to the next. Because the QEEG represents the five bandwidths as colours, it were as were watching HDH float from colour to colour within a rainbow.
Conclusions
1. His Divine Holiness had complete control of the four brainwaves namely alpha, beta, theta that usually correspond to 1) alert state of mind 2) feeling of well-being 3) a state close to sleep with tremendous calm in normal people, and therefore was independent of their conscious control. 2. In deep meditation, His brain smoothly shifted the brainwaves from one state to another like a pianist playing the scales. The pictures show the team of doctors and researchers who performed the research.

When I touch and heal, it takes… only next day you’ll know whether the pain is there or not. You understand? Only next day you’ll know whether it is healed or not. When I say that I touched, I touched, I gave the energy but takes little time to work, the energy to work the, it’s own work na. So till that time he has to wait. And when he asked, even that attending, he felt “Oh this much only? Is it enough?” In that way he asked. You understand what I say? When I touched him, in a ordinary way, as soon as I touch, in the crowd they feel “Oh yes, it’s a great thing, we have been touched.” Next day naturally they see that the pain has disappeared, or they are healed, whatever effect has happened. But when they see Me easily, even after touching, they think ‘healing means something more to be done.’ But only next day morning or after few hours they will understand what process has happened or what benefit they are getting. But just as soon as touched itself, they ask, “is it enough?”. They don’t feel satisfied that I’ve attended totally, or they’ve got what they have to get. Only with complication, they think that things can be achieved. When it is gained simply, they think “no, it is not what we want. I think we have not got fully. We have something more to do.”
[00:01:42]
Actually, when a mind is simple, even in a simple way it can happen. Because the person's mind is not simple, it’s happening in a complicated way. That’s what I say na, if a person's mind is simple, in a very simple way it happens. There are many who really, who are simple; first touch, easily they get healed, over. But when the mind is complicated, it wants only complicated procedures. It again asks Me, “Swamiji, should I do some Yaaga? Should I go to some temple? Should I do this? Should I do that? Can you suggest some more thing?”
[00:02:18]
Yes, there are many. There is no need for the healing to happen to have a faith. Faith is immaterial. See, energy is something beyond mind. Even in My ‘Healers Initiation’ I tell, “Doubt as much as possible. Create as much as possible. Create the doubt as much as possible. The energy’s power is such, it will go beyond the doubt.” If it cannot manage the doubt, it’s not healing, it’s not energy. It can simply work, even beyond doubts.
[00:02:53]
One thing, I tell you, if you don’t have doubt about Me, you cannot have faith on Me. Understand very clearly, if you don’t have doubt on Me, don’t think you’re matured person. Be very clear, you don’t have faith on Me. Doubt and faith are both sides of mind. So whenever you get the doubt, do one thing; the faith is also given by the Master, doubt is also given by him, surrender both at the feet of the Master. Drop both. Then you will see, something new will be happening to you, that is called “knowing”. You will neither have doubt nor have faith, you will know. As long as you have faith… I never believe people who have faith on Me. Because the faith, next morning it will stand on Sirsasana to have doubt. No, that's what, when faith stands on Sirsasana, it is doubt. When doubt stands on Sirsasana, it is faith. That’s all.
[00:04:05]
And I never believe people who come and tell Me, “Swamiji, my whole thing is Your life. Your life is my everything. I’ve given my life to You, please.” All these statements, I just wait. I tell them, “Alright, alright, alright.” Faith and doubt are just two sides of same coin. I always tell them, “drop both, surrender both. You will see, the knowing will happen. Then you don’t have to believe, you will know.”
[00:04:37]
You see, when I say surrender, drop the doubt also. Feel the doubt is also from the Master. Faith is also from the Master, doubt is also from the Master. Feel both are from the Master. You don’t associate yourself with the doubt. You don’t follow the roots of doubt. Don’t follow the decision of the doubts. Don’t follow the decision of the doubts. Surrender both, then you will see, the knowing happens. See, to know… now I’m giving a statement, “sun rises in the east.” Do you need to believe it? Do you need to doubt it? Just see early morning, over. You will know. Get up early in the morning and see, you will know. That’s all.
[00:05:34]
So, simply drop both, and see. You will know it. Knowing can only transform you. There’s a big problem, faith will not allow you to know. Open your eyes and see. Practice. Just like a doubt, faith is also an obstacle. Faith is also an obstacle. I always tell the people, “people who have doubt, just like the people who have doubt will not benefit of me, people who have faith also will not benefit of me.” People who have faith, at the most they can have My photograph in their puja room, that’s all. Not more than that. Already you have 32, 33 thousand crore, why do you want to add one more? In India, 33 thousand, 33 thousand crore Gods are there. 33 thousand crore, no, 33 crore I think. 33 crore Gods are there. Why you know? At that time only 33 crore was population. So every par - for every person one God. Customized God. That is what actually. Like customized insurance, customized pizza, customized God. That is what, 33 thousand, 33 crore God. Already you have 33 crore. Why do you want me add, add one more in that list?
[00:07:01]
So having faith or having doubt is not going to help. Dropping both and knowing the truth of My statements, knowing the truth of My teachings in your life, is what is a real thing which you can achieve in your life. When you know, when you have the transformation, beyond your doubt and faith a gratitude flows towards Me, that gratitude only is devotion.

Sama, ādhi, sama plus ādhi, is samādhi. ādhi means the original source, from which we’ve all come. Sama means, becoming that original source. Becoming the source from which we all came out. That is what is sama ādhi, samādhi. Reaching, or becoming one with the original state from where we all came out. Sama plus ādhi, samādhi.
[00:00:51]
Many, many, many are enlightened, but in the state of enlightenment, there is only one thing. In the state of your level, there are many, from my state, there are only one, one energy. There are many who are enlightened, as on today. Yes, they all bear the responsibility of positive equal… equating the positive energy on this planet Earth.
[00:01:20]
Understand one thing, all your all our collective negativity only creates a Bin Laden, or a terrorist. All our positivity only creates Buddha, an enlightened. So Buddhas are responsible to keep the positive energy on this planet Earth. Otherwise, why do you think that I have to work 22 hours. My whole month expense is 45 rupees, less than one dollar. Why should I work 22 hours? It is the responsibility of every Master. That responsibility just drives you.
[00:02:00]
Don’t think you can possess enlightenment. Enlightenment possesses you. It will possess you and make you run like it, make you run like anything. It will possess you; beyond your control you will be moving and doing everything. So, enlightened people are responsible to keep the planet Earth positive or alive.
[00:02:25]
One more thing, when planet Earth stops producing enlightened people, the planet Earth will not be alive anymore. There is a beautiful sloka in Bhagavata, “the Earth is alive still even after the Kalli.” There’s a question, “Oh God, why do You allow the Earth to be alive, even after this Kali age, even after this dark age?” The Krishna says “because Masters are still appearing. Enlightened people are still appearing on the planet Earth.” So they are responsible, their very walking on the Earth is a great blessing. Just because planet, planet Earth still produces enlightened Masters, it is still alive, still working, still moving.
