A green plate on a red and cream floral patterned rug, edged with gold tinsel, holds two clear glass bowls of cooked rice: one with yellow corn kernels and one with green peas. A small stainless steel cup of dark liquid sits between them. This appears to be a food offering (naivedhyam) arranged for the deities. No people are visible.Close-up of a pair of ornate silver padukas (sandal-shaped footwear) resting on a large embossed gold-coloured tray. The silver surfaces are engraved with floral and leaf scrollwork and decorated with strings of pearls and dark red marigold-type flowers arranged across them. Each paduka has a small round ornament near the front, and a jewelled ornamental border with green, red and white stones lies along the lower edge of the tray. A deep maroon patterned cloth lies beneath the tray. No people are visible, so this reads as a ritual padapuja display of sacred footwear.A photograph of a brass oval tray on a maroon and gold patterned cloth, holding a pair of silver-toned sacred sandals or padukas decorated with red marigold flowers, white pearl strands, and a jeweled gold-toned ornamental garland with green and red stones.
