Kandasashti Day 1
The commencement of Kandasashti Day 1 was celebrated with profound devotion at KAILASA Toronto as part of the daily Nithyotsavam rituals. Kandasashti is an extremely sacred six-day observance dedicated to Bhagavan Skanda (Kartikeya), the Divine Warrior, celebrating His ultimate victory over negative forces, symbolizing the victory of superconsciousness over ignorance. These rituals, performed daily under the direct guidance and grace of THE SPH, ensure the continual spiritual awakening of the ecosystem and purify the collective consciousness of the local Sangha, preparing devotees to receive the blessings necessary for manifesting the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva.
The specific Hindu rituals conducted involved traditional devotional practices, potent Vedic mantras, and chants honoring Bhagavan Skanda, reinforcing the spiritual foundation of the community. These ancient Hindu traditions, revived and restored to their original power by THE SPH, provide precise methodologies for deep spiritual growth and inner transformation, allowing participants to experience the intense divine energy associated with the festival.
The successful execution and sanctity of the day’s sacred observances were upheld by the unwavering dedication of 7 committed volunteers. These selfless devotees offered their service, or Kainkarya, to organize the rituals, maintain the sacred space, and facilitate the participation of the global Sangha. The event reaffirmed KAILASA Toronto's role as a vital center for the revival of Sanatana Hindu Dharma in Canada, actively contributing to THE SPH's vision of restoring the enlightened Hindu civilization. Devotees used this powerful spiritual opportunity to connect deeply with THE SPH, invoking His grace to awaken the shaktis/powers of Paramashiva in their lives.
