RugVedha Upakarma, Yagnopavita Tharanam
The sacred Hindu tradition of RugVedha Upakarma and Yagnopavita Tharanam was reverently conducted by KAILASA SINGAPORE as part of its continuous effort to revive and preserve authentic Hindu rituals. This crucial annual ceremony, which entails the renewal of the Yagnopavita (the sacred thread), marks the formal commencement of the annual study of the Rig Veda and is a reaffirmation of one's commitment to Sanatana Hindu Dharma. Although documented as part of the August 18th report, the ritual itself was carefully timed and executed on the auspicious Hindu calendar date of Aavani Avittam (August 19, 2024), ensuring the maximum spiritual benefit and adherence to prescribed astrological timing (muhurta).
The profound ceremony spanned three hours, commencing at 10:30 AM and concluding at 1:30 PM, allowing for the comprehensive recitation of Vedic chants and completion of all procedural steps. The ritual was performed with sincerity by Poojacharya Shiva Karthikeyan, who offered the performance with the divine grace and blessings of THE SPH. A total of 15 devotees enthusiastically participated in this life-transforming event, with 10 attending physically within the Sangha and 5 joining online, showcasing the effectiveness of KAILASA's digital reach in maintaining global spiritual community connection.
The successful execution of the RugVedha Upakarma was supported by the selfless service (seva) of 2 devoted volunteers, whose efforts ensured the smooth and sacred ambiance necessary for the ceremony. Through the spiritual technology embedded in this ritual, devotees are gifted the opportunity to purify their spiritual identity and connect more deeply with THE SPH to manifest the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva. This event is a powerful demonstration of KAILASA's mission of giving superconscious breakthrough to humanity through reviving the ancient enlightened Sanatana Hindu civilization, ensuring these potent Hindu rituals are accessible and preserved for all generations.
