Daily Pada Puja was offered to the sacred Padukas of Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism Jagatguru Mahasannidhanam HDH Bhagawan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam. Later in the evening at 4 am IST (6:30 pm Trinidad time) we joined Adi Kailasa Bidadi, India in Celebrating Bharani Deepam. In the Vedic tradition, Karthigai Deepam is the Day of Light – the Conscious Light Awareness. It is the festival of giving Enlightenment and the day Paramashiva takes the form of an endless shaft of brilliant light to enlighten Brahma, the Creator and Vishnu the sustainer. It is also the day that Devi becomes enlightened after intense penance of Pancha Agni. Cosmology is explained in today's celebration - Sadashiva declares "Let Me become many to celebrate Myself”. Karthigai Deepam is the festival that carries this truth to humanity, by lighting millions of lamps across the world in this way, dispelling the darkness and negativities of the world.
