Event Description
The Pongal celebrations at KAILASA Salem on January 13, 2025, featured two significant events: Suryan Pongal and Shiva Suryapooja. Suryan Pongal, a festival dedicated to the Sun God, Surya, is celebrated during the auspicious Pongal festival. It signifies gratitude for Surya's life-giving energy and sustenance. The celebration included the traditional preparation and offering of Pongal, a sweet rice dish made from newly harvested rice, to Surya as a mark of respect and devotion.
The Shiva Suryapooja, a sacred worship ritual, honored Shiva Surya, the Right Eye of Paramashiva. This Pooja was performed to invoke blessings of health, prosperity, and spiritual enlightenment.
