On Occasion of AMALAKI EKADASI, Vishnu Sahasranamam Chanting, & Laghu Puja to Lord Venkateshwara was offered at Kailasa Houston.
On Amalaki Ekadashi, devotees worship Shri Vishnu and the Amla tree (Indian gooseberry tree). Health experts suggest that the berries obtained from the Amla tree are endowed with medicinal and therapeutic values and hence widely used in Ayurvedic preparations.
According to Hindu legend, when Lord Vishnu appeared in front of Lord Brahma, tears started rolling from Lord Brahma’s eyes and those tears got converted into gooseberry trees.
Following the vow of Ekadasi quickly elevates one to the higher space and abode of Vaikunta.
