Durga Devi is the Goddess of Power, Strength & Courage. She is the confluence of the powers of ALL Gods & Goddesses.
The 10 arms symbolize that she protects her devotees from all directions. Durga literally means “fort”. Durga Devi protects her devotees like the fort protects an empire. She puts an end to all misfortunes.
