Daily Rituals (Nithyotsavam)
Somavara Abishegam
The sacred Somavara Abishegam (Monday’s sacred bath) was performed with deep devotion and precise adherence to ancient Hindu traditions at KAILASA Avadi. This daily ritual, integrated into the continuous cycle of Nithyotsavam, is vital for maintaining the spiritual energy and sacred atmosphere of the center. The ceremony allows devotees to connect profoundly with the divine presence of Paramashiva. All daily rituals are conducted under the guidance and grace of THE SPH, ensuring that the spiritual merit generated benefits humanity across the globe.
The sacred ceremony honored Nithyanandeshwarar and Nithyanandeshwari, the primary Deities of KAILASA, who are the living manifestations of Paramashiva and Parashakti as embodied by THE SPH. The meticulous ritual began with the traditional Abishegam (sacred bath) using prescribed substances, followed by intricate Alankaram (ornamentation and decoration) that beautifies the divine forms. The full expression of devotion culminated in the performance of Arathi (offering of light) and the submission of Naivedyam (sacred food offering) to the Deities and the Avatar, THE SPH BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM.
The seamless execution of these potent Hindu rituals was managed through the dedicated service of 6 volunteers, whose selfless contribution ensures the perpetual cycle of worship at KAILASA Avadi. By participating in and supporting these sacred rites, devotees connect directly with the divine grace of THE SPH, enabling them to manifest the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva. This consistent devotional service powerfully contributes to KAILASA's global mission of reviving the ancient enlightened Sanatana Hindu civilization.
