Narration

The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism (SPH) led a group of most fortunate beings on the first Himalayan Yatra after the declaration of expanding the Mission of KAILASA to the International forum. In June 2004, the fortnight long yatra happened (commencing on 12 June 2004). On this day (15 June 2004), The SPH reached Rishikesh, the foothill of the Himalayas, stopping by at Haridwar for the devotees to have their afternoon meal. At Rishikesh, The SPH had the first dip in the sacred river Ganga, Blessing Mother Ganga. Following this, He Himself performed the Viraja Homa fire ritual on the banks of the Ganga and blessed each one with the yatra kavi - ochre shawl give to wear during a yatra or pilgrimage.
