Revival of KAILASA

Coronation of His Divine Holiness Bhagavan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam as Emperor of The Princely State of Surangi

It is the time honored and age old tradition of the Sūrya Vaṃśa that Kingdoms are ruled by enlightened masters or Raja Gurus whenever they so choose to honor the Kingdom by taking on the responsibility of administration as happened historically when Harischandra gave his kingdom to his Guru Viswamitra, Chatrapati Shivaji offered his entire Kingdom to his Guru, Samarth Ramdas Swami and Mīnākṣi, Goddess Parāśakti herself offered the entire 59 Nations which constituted all of planet earth during her reign to Paramasiva, Sundareśvara, when he showed her the ultimate cosmic reality of his nature and enlightened her.

Through a traditional ritualistic grand coronation ceremony that lasted five days from 31st Dec 2004 to 4th January 2005, His Divine Holiness Bhagavan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam was coronated as King of Kailaasa Paramparagatha Sūrya Vaṃśa Sarvajnapeetham Surangi Samrajyam (Registration deed in appendix).

With the signing of the Coronation Deed cited in this document, The Kailaasa Paramparagatha Surya Vamsa Sarvajnapeetha Surangi Samrajyam (Surangi Kingdom) with its titles, palaces and all related authorities have been transferred in its entirety to the current coronated Emperor of the Surangi Kingdom, His Divine Holiness Bhagavan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam, as of 2004, and legalized on May 21, 2019.

Hindu Princely State of Thondaimandala

With the available records of modern history, the Hindu princely state of Thondaimandala (of Pudukottai) is the world’s oldest and longest living micronation going back to Year 501 (The 6th century AD) . Pudukottai was successively ruled by Pallavas, the Cholas and the Pandyas until the 14th century AD (Year 1301).

Persecution on the Princely State of Thondaimandala

In 1311, Malik Kafur, sent by the Mughal King Alauddin Khilji invaded Kanchipuram. Due to the ruthless persecution, the sacred rituals in the temple were forced to be abandoned.

The Kingdom of Thondaiman Provided Military Aid to the British

The Thondaimans provided military aid to the British and the Nawabs of Arcot in the 1752 siege of Tiruchirapalli, against Haidar Ali and Tippu Sultan, and finally against the Palaiyakkarars.Marthanda Bhairava Tondaiman declared, in 1888, that Pudukkottai had become an independent kingdom, and in 1889 issued an Amman cash coin (Amman kasu). That was the only coin ever issued by the Kingdom of Pudukkottai.Pudukkottai remained the only princely kingdom to maintain its independence in the whole of Tamil Nadu.

British rule in Thondaimandalam

In 1763, the British East India Company assumed indirect control from the Nawab of the Carnatic over the Thondaimandalam region. The Company brought the territory under their direct control during the Second Anglo-Mysore War, and the Collectorate of Chingleput was created in 1794. The district was split into two in 1997 and Kanchipuram made the capital of the newly created Kanchipuram district.

Thondaimandala Kingdom Absorbed into Secular India

The kingdom eventually acceded to the independent Dominion of India in August 1947, and merged with the Madras state in the following year.

Princely State of Madurai

The Kingdom of Madurai was established in the mists of time by Lord Paramaśiva and later revived by Devī Mīnākṣi and Lord Sundareśvara, who as the deities and incarnates of Śrī Paramaśiva ruled over the Kingdom. To ensure the pure Supreme tradition continues to elevate humanity, the Divine Couple enthrone their direct representatives, their divine energies in the form of continuously flowing lineage of living Masters – the Guru Maha Sannidhanams (Pontiffs) of the Madurai Aadheenam.

Madurai Aadheenam ruled the entire 56 Nations

The Madurai Aadheenam - the temple monastery complex - from which Madurai is ruled is located in the city of Madurai, which is the capital of the Pandya Kingdom. The Pandya Kings ruled the entire 56 nations that then constituted planet earth, and consequently all the regions which lie in the state of Tamil Nadu, South India.

Revived in the 7th Century

After Devi Mīnākṣi, more than 1500 years ago in the 7th century, the Madurai Aadheenam was revived once more by the famous child-incarnation, Tiru Jnanasambandar, born in the holy town of Sirkazhi (Sembai) in the Chola region (South India).

Atal Akhada

Oldest Organised Order in The World

(Ref.: http://akhada.org/history-of-atal-akhada/) is one of the oldest Akhāḍās in the world established by Paramasiva as Kailaasa, the enlightenment ecosystem, and is affiliated to the larger Mahanirvani Akhada, which has the largest influence in the country and runs some of the most visited temples in India such as the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain and the Annapurneshwari temple in Kashi (Varanasi). Each of these temples attracts tens of millions of people from around the world every year.

Mahanirvani Akhada

In 748 A.D., a group of seven sadhus of Atal Akhada performed intense spiritual penance at a place called Gangasagar. They were graced with the divine vision of Saint Kapila Mahāmuni, an incarnation of Paramaśiva. With his blessings, they revived the Nāgā tradition with an official name – Mahanirvani Akhada – near Neel Dhara in Haridwar. Even today, the chief deity (upāsyadeva) of the Mahanirvani Akhada is Śrī Kapila Mahāmuni as appointed by Paramasiva HImself. The Atal Akhada is affiliated to the Mahanirvai Akhada. Sri Ādi Śankarācārya is an incarnation of Paramaśiva, who assumed the body in the 8th century. He organised and unified the main thought currents (Truth threads) that exist within Sanātana Hindu Dharma, in the form of various traditions or Sampradāyas called Akhāḍās. He also revived and organized the Mahanirvani Akhāḍā. He formally organised it in 748 A.D constituting a democratic structure giving stability and legitimacy to Hinduism’s core spiritual traditions (sampradāya) in the form of the Akhāḍās or Apex bodies of Hinduism. Mahmud Ghazni || Persecution on Hindus and Hindu Territory since 1000 AD

He was a bloodthirsty and barbaric ruler, who launched Jihad on Hindus, and through invasion and plunder, created an enormous empire that stretched from Iran to India.

Yamin ad-Dawlah Abdul-Qasim Mahmud ibn Sabuktegin, more commonly known as Mahmud of Ghazni, was the third ruler of the Ghaznavid Empire, which, at its greatest extant, ruled over Afghanistan, a large part of Transoxiana and Iran, as well as the north-western part of the Indian subcontinent.

Few figures from the past strike most Hindus, with as much revulsion as the Turkish conqueror, Mahmud of Ghazni.

Mahmud succeeded his father, a warlord who had carved out an empire in central Asia and had established his capital at Ghazni, south of Kabul, in 998 AD at the age of 27. He launched aggressive expansionist campaigns, and is said to have invaded Hindu India no less than 17 times between 1000 and 1025 AD.

Mahmud turned his attention to the south-eastern border of his empire. This is also the north-western part of the Indian subcontinent, and Mahmud’s first major campaign here was against a Hindu ruler of the Punjab by the name of Jaipal. In AD 1000 / 1001, Jaipal was defeated by Mahmud, and was captured by the Ghaznavids. Jaipal was eventually released, but the proud king was not able to accept his defeat. Therefore, he abdicated in favour of his son, Anandpal, and then courageously got onto his own funeral pyre, and perished in the flames.

In AD 1008, Anandpal, with the help of other Hindu rulers, managed to raise a large army against the Ghaznavids. At the beginning of the battle, both flanks of the Ghaznavid army were taking a heavy beating from the ferocious Khokar tribesman. This gave Anandpal an advantage over Mahmud, though this was soon lost when a stray arrow caused the king’s elephant to panic, and to flee from the field. As the soldiers thought that their leader was taking flight from the battle, their morale broke, and they began to run away as well. Thus, the battle ended in victory for the Ghaznavids.

He invaded their territory and obliterated their precious temples and monuments. He soon realized that these rulers were exceptionally rich, and that their great wealth was being stored in their temples. His campaigns invariably took place during the hot summer season, and on each occasion Mahmud left India before the onset of the monsoons, which would have flooded the rivers of the Punjab and possibly trapped his troops.

Mahmud’s invasions of India, which never extended to the central, south, and eastern portions of the country, were doubtless exceedingly bloody and ruthless affairs. He is said to have carried away a huge amount of booty on each visit, and among other Indian dynasties, the Chandellas of Khujaraho, the Pratiharas of Kanauj, and the Rajputs of Gwalior all succumbed to his formidable military machine.

Places such as Kanauj, Mathura, and Thaneshwar were laid to ruins, but it is the memory of his destruction of the Shiva temple at Somnath, on the southern coast of Kathiawar in Gujarat, which was the darkest and most barbaric of all.

Muslim chronicles suggest that 50,000 Hindu died in the battle for Somnath, and it is said that the Shiva lingam was destroyed by Mahmud himself; after the battle, Mahmud and his troops are described as having carried away across the desert the equivalent of 6.5 tons of gold. The famous, intricately carved, doors of the temple at Somnath were also carried away.

The Arab geographer and scholar, Al-Bruni, who wrote an account of spent much time at Mahmud’s court, wrote of his raids that “the Hindus became like the atoms of dust scattered in all directions and like a tale of old in the mouths of people. Their scattered remains cherish of course the most inveterate aversion towards all Moslems.”

The spiritual governance of the Princely State of Swargapura is located in the Tiruvarur district, Nannilam Circle which was a region falling within the reign of the Chera Kingdom or Dynasty. The Princely State of Swargapura flourished with abundant lands, an anna daan mutt, educational institutions, charity organisations, felicitation of scholarly poets, helping the needy who come to the mutt, flourishing of teachings of Saiva Siddhanta, hospitals, giving protection and helping the orphans.

Coronation of His Divine Holiness as the present Pontiff of the Princely State of Swargapuram.

The Princely State of Swargapuram was handed over to His Divine Holiness in the year 2015 fulfilling the traditional ritualistic procedure. In 2018-19 Dandapani Desika Pandara Sannadhi, the 22nd Pontiff of the Swargapuram Adheenam initiated and completed the official documentation for the same.
