Though Gnananandagiri attained Mahasamadhi four years prior to the Advent of The Avatar, he was a major influence in the eco-system which ensured the survival of the spiritual traditions and ancient knowledge of Santana Hindu Dharma until it would be revived entirely by The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism through the nation of KAILASA.

Initiated as "Pragnana Brahmachari" at a young age

Jnanananda Giri of Tirukoviloor was enlightened being who lived more than 150 years though his age was inconceivable by the way he radiated the space of superconsciousness through his friendliness and strength.

At a young age, Jnanandagiri was initiated by his own guru Shivaratnagiri and named as "Pragnana Brahmachari" . From the time that his guru initiated him, he served his guru personally with love and gratitude until he attained Mahasamadhi. Before leaving his body, Shivaratnagiri had initiated his disciple into the order of "Giri" and gave him the name Jnananandagiri.

Gnanananda Thapovanam

Since that time, when Jnananandagiri was the age of 39, he began teaching spiritual discipline, guru bhakti and the lifestyle of Hinduism to his own followers in earnest. In 1951, Jnananandagiri established his own ashram named "Gnananda Thapovanam" where he consecrated the deities of Paramashiva, Parashakti and Dakshinamurthy. In 1974, the year of the marriage of Ma Lokanayaki and Sri Arunachalam, Jnananandagiri attained Mahasamadhi. His jeeva samadhi is worshipped where he lived for more than fifty years.
