(00:05) Sadāshiva samārambhām Shankarāchārya madhyamām | asmat āchārya paryantām vande guru paramparām || I welcome you all with My love and respects. Let’s enter into the next questions.

(00.41) Question: What is the purpose of one’s life? Answer: Actually, you should ask this question to yourself. When you look in again and again with this question, you will understand the meaning of the life. Please understand, life has no purpose as we understand. ‘Purpose’ means life need to be used to achieve something. If you understand the word purpose with this meaning, life has no purpose; but life has meaning.

(01:32) Purpose means it is not part of life, it is end of life. Meaning means it is ingredient of life, part of life. If you look for purpose of life you will not be able to find anything. But, if you look inside as a quest, you will find the meaning of life. Everyone has to look inside into their bio-memory to find out the meaning of the life. As I gave this beautiful meditation technique, sitting with oneself, allowing all the words to happen in you, all the ideas to come up in you. What are the ideas which are moving you this side and that side? What are the ideas which are giving you more inspiration and more depression? Look in. Spend time with those ideas. You will see the meaning of life. So, if you just ask the purpose of life you will not find. If you look inside, you’ll find the meaning of life. Thank you.

(2:53) Question: Next question: If bio-memory is passed on from parents to child through the genes, how do we have control over our bio-memory? Answer: You need to understand this very deeply. Please understand, from parents what is passed on is possibility of bio-memory. Bio-memory need to be understood in two level. One: The possibilities, which is the physical part; and, the construction which you do, which is the mental part. The ground is ready either for agriculture or for construction of a building. You can do agriculture or you can build a building. The ground being ready is physical. That is what is handed over from the parents to you. Deciding to have an agriculture or constructing a building is your decision. So, only one part of the possibility is handed over to you through genes. And, you have major decision, a conscious decision to build, to create, on your own. So please understand, all the bio-memory is not passed on to you through genes by the parents. You need to work. You need to understand this very clearly. You can see the story of Prahlada. The possibility was handed over. You see, when Prahlada was being carried by the mother, Narada, constantly, by giving the beautiful initiation and the stories, information, about the Bhagavatam and Krishna, creates a beautiful bio-memory in Prahlada’s body. When Prahlada landed in that body, he started developing the same bio-memory. So, the possibility is genes bio-memory - what was handed over to him through body, and his mental bio-memory - what he created after that - both connected, coincided. Both were relating with each other. But it is not necessarily be the same. Sometime the bio-memory which is handed over by the parents will be different and the person who is creating his own bio-memory will be different. You can see sometime. Parents will be very polite and soft people and the son will be very arrogant and strong kind of a person. It happens. So, you do have a conscious role. You can play a major part in your bio-memory.

(6:06) Question: Next question: How does the soul choose the body? Answer: This is a very important thing to be understood. I think that in earlier questions I was describing, before taking the next birth, during the time of previous death, leaving the body, you go through the whole thing in front of you. The whole thing is presented in front of you. Whole thing is available in front of you. You go through like a fast forward. Please understand, like a, whole thing appears in front of you. You can see, very clearly, whatever you enjoyed very strongly, deeply - happens in multi-color. Whatever you enjoyed very politely, mildly, did not enjoy much, just so-so, dull, unconsciously - that goes through in black and white. So you see which was very strong experiences, and you decide, do you want the same thing in your future, in your life, in your next birth. Based on that you choose the body and the place and the way in which you wanted to live in the next life. Thank you.

(7:30) Question: Next question: Can you please define kshana? Answer: It’s a very beautiful concept. Please understand, in Vedic tradition time is calculated based on the space, on the being; more psychological than chronological. Kshana means the gap between one thought and the other thought. If you are a restless person, too many thoughts going inside you, your kshana can be micro-second. If you are a peaceful, relaxed person, your kshana can be even one hour or two-hours. You can see in your own life, sometime, if you are sitting with somebody who is very calm, quiet, relaxed, comfortable, safe, feeling secured, you will not even find, you will not even bother about how time passed. Suddenly you will see the watch and, oh God, already five, six hours over! But, if you are sitting with somebody with whom you are not comfortable, happy, restless, educated, every five minutes you look the watch, “oh, time is not moving.” You know how it feels. So, please understand, time is more psychological, not chronological. So, kshana means the gap between one thought and the other thought. The gap between one thought and the other thought. So within three kshana you assume the body. When your, when your body is being delivered by the mother, within three kshana you assume that body; means if you had a peaceful, restful life in the last birth then you can choose slowly, and settle into the body very slowly because your kshana will be very long. If you had a restless life in the previous birth, then you have to hurry, enter into the body. That will be an unconscious birth. That is why I say, now have a conscious, restful, relaxed life, aware life so next birth you will see you will have conscious birth. Conscious life leads to conscious death. Conscious death leads to conscious birth. So, having conscious life is the technique to prolong the kshana.

(10:18) Question: Next question: Does the moment of birth, space, time, define the purpose of birth? If so, can it be changed by planned birth? Answer: Yes. The moment of birth, space and time really helps the soul to fulfill the purpose of birth, to achieve the meaning of birth. So, I am all for planned birth. Like a cesarean delivery. Planning the time of the birth and helping the child to assume the body in a very-planned way, in a very loving, beautiful atmosphere; especially like a delivery under the water and delivery in a very receptive, prayerful atmosphere; delivery during the beautiful, blissful mantra chanting and in a very spiritual atmosphere. I am all for it, creating a right time, right space for baby to enter into the world in a very receptive, welcoming way by a very meditative doctors, healers who are very blissful people. Blissful doctors, meditating doctors who are jivan mukta doctors, in their presence, if the baby is received in the planet earth it will really help the baby to consciously settle into the body and experience the purpose of birth. I am all for it.

(12:10) Question: Next question: Why am I not able to remember my past life? If I could, it will help me understand the purpose of my life in a better way. Answer: Yes. If you can remember your past life it’ll really help to understand the purpose of your life in a better way. No doubt. First thing, you need to understand your past; forget about the past life. Your past: from this moment till the moment you took birth - this time. For example, if you are thirty, the zero to thirty, you need to understand without fear or greed. You need to reconcile with the past. Then, if you open your past life it’ll help you to understand and achieve the purpose of your life. But, without reconciling with the past, if you try to open your past life you are entering into a dangerous zone. One person came to Me and said he was trying to work on this past life regression with another one person. I told, “Please, first reconcile with the past; with past first.” For example, as I said, if you are thirty, thirty year old now, zero to thirty - try to reconcile with this past. Try to accept your whole past without any guilt. Try to understand your whole past without any anger towards yourself. Do not feel you are fool. Do not feel you are wrong. Do not feel you are dull. Look into the past with a deep, restful awareness. See, this is the way it happened.

(14:19) There is a beautiful word by Buddha: Tathātā - means ‘easeness.’ So, bring ‘easeness’ between this moment to your birth. So, if you can penetrate your past with ‘easeness’, Tathātā, suddenly your past life will open. With this same Tathātā open your past life. Then it will help you to understand your purpose and fulfill the purpose. But, if you are not completely comfortable with your past, if you are not having that ‘easeness’, Tathātā, with your past, still you are carrying anger, heaviness, feeling guilty about your past, please do not open your past life.

(15:21) There’s a beautiful story, happened in Ramana Maharishi’s life. Somebody goes to Bhagavan and asks, “Bhagavan, why don’t you make me remember my past life?” He laughs and says, “Are you comfortable with your past first?” He says, “No, I’m not happy with it. I want peace. I want to be liberated from it. That is why I came to you.” He said, “Just fifty-sixty years of past life, past memory, if you are not able to handle, if 100-200 more years of past life memory also comes to your brain, what will happen? You’ll go crazy! You will become mad! You’ll be imbalanced.”

(16:04) So understand, unless you are completely ease with your past, do not try to penetrate the past lives. So, you need to understand, be ease. There is a very beautiful, very powerful technique given in Shiva Sutras. Osho speaks about this technique, very powerful process. Sit, before going to bed, see in the reverse way. Don’t start from morning waking up to, till the time you came to bed, no. Go from this way - from the time you came and sat in your bed, just go back just ten minutes before, twenty minutes before, one hour before, evening, noon, morning, early-morning. Go from reverse direction. This sharpens your awareness. Please understand, coming from morning till night, you can do it with unawareness, unconsciously. But if you are going back from night to morning, you cannot do it without awareness. You cannot do it unconsciously. So, go from night to morning. So, try this process for twenty-one days. Within twenty-one days you will see, you are able to become completely comfortable with your whole past.

(17:37) You may think, “How can it be? If I am comfortable with today from night to morning, how can I heal my whole past?” You do not know. Please understand every day your action represents your whole past. If you are comfortable, today’s actions - if you do not have guilt, if you are ease with today’s actions - till the moment you woke up from the bed until the moment you reach to your bed - if you are comfortable with this day, please understand, all the seeds of your past life, past, sorry not past life, past, will be expressing itself in the form of actions in your every day. If you are ease with this, this will start healing with your past. All the thorns will be getting slowly removed. Your wounds will be getting healed. Twenty-one days from night to morning if you are able to move and heal the whole thing in a very relaxed way, in a very settled way, in a very healing way, please understand you will be completely comfortable with your past. If you are comfortable with your past, if the ‘easeness’ is brought in your past, naturally with that ‘easeness’, easeness’ is almost like a razor, knife. With that knife, with that sharpness, with that awareness penetrate your past life. You will see, you will carry this ‘easeness’ into the past life also. ‘Easeness’ is almost like a torch. Create that light, that awareness, that Consciousness. Carry that torch into your past life.

(20:00) Actually, when you start this meditating on this past, take your photograph, see the glow in your eyes. After twenty-one days you will see the glow is totally different. You are alive, fresh. That light is there in your eyes. That spark is there in your eyes. Your whole body feels light. You are like a breeze. You know now you are having that torch. You are having that pratyagatma Chaitanya jagrata - individual conscious awakening. Carry this torch and enter into the past life. I have seen this really works. This really works. If you are not comfortable with your past and if you are entering into your past life, you are entering into danger zone. Do not do this past life regression therapies unless you are completely ease with your past. First, be completely ease with your past then enter into the past life regression. You’ll really see you’re helped in a tremendous way. Even in Tibetan Buddhism they first make you comfortable with past, then past life. So, this is the right process, right method, right technique.

(00:06) Thank You, Next Question Question: Do we evolve from life to life or is each birth a separate incident?

(00:21) Answer: Oh!. Surely, either, we go up or go down from life to life. There is no such thing as a separate incident. Either you go up, more and more become conscious or, go down, more and more become unconscious. But, in every life something solid happens in you. Either becoming more conscious or becoming more unconscious. But something solid happens in you. Please understand, whatever you may be doing the whole day, either some joy or hurt, will be in your background of the mind unconsciously. Continuously it will be going on. It will be happening, happening, happening, happening, happening. But, that is not what you are doing.

(01:20) Please understand, you may be doing something, but, the underground, background of your mind, something will be going on. Same way in your life also, whatever you may be doing, the background of your mind something will be going on. If it is unconscious, you are going lower and lower. If it is conscious awareness, you are going higher and higher. Either, you go higher or lower in your life. But, life after life, lives are not separate incidents. It is deeply interconnected, it is a connection. It's like a, how in one life you wake up, fall asleep, wake up, fall asleep. Same way, in the eternal life you take birth, die, take birth, die, take birth, die. That’s all. That is the way it happens. Thank you.

(02:19) Next question. Question: If I work towards my purpose in this life, but die before it is fulfilled, can I continue the same purpose in my next life ? (02:33) Answer: Please understand, when you are working towards the purpose in this life, even if you die, there is no such thing as break. Only, if there is a break, you can use the word continuing. Please understand, till you find the purpose, till you fall in tune with your bio-memory there is a break and continuity, break and continuity. Once you fall in tune with your bio-memory, completely, suddenly you will see, even if you leave the body, it is not death. Please understand, it is not death. Even if you leave the body, you will be very clear about the purpose, you will assume the body and everything will happen. So, because there is no break, the word continuity need not be used at all. It will be just like a sleeping and waking up. It will be just sleeping and waking up. As long as you find the purpose, there is a break and continuity, break and continuity. Once you are in tune with the meaning, once you are in tune with the bio-memory of your life, then, suddenly you will see dying is not dying - leaving the body.

(03:55) That is why we say beautifully, in the life of Shiva Bhaktas, death is liberation and celebration. In Varanasi, death is liberation and celebration. All the load associated, responsibilities associated, with the body and through the body, you are liberated from it. You are liberated from it. Understand, it is a very powerful process. Whenever you feel excited about life, enjoy your joy and need feeling to live. Whenever life kicks you, whenever you feel disturbed by life, you are totally shaken, enjoy the feeling. See, when you are shaken by life, for example, some unnatural death in your family, or somebody near & dear one has died, or the wealth is lost, or your name & fame is lost, identity is lost, something when it happens, suddenly you will feel, “Oh!, death is much better than this. Death could have been much more easier to be handled than this.” At those moments, ‘live death’! See, that something in you is dying, something in you is dying, it's really painful. So, at that moments be aware. If you are aware at those moments, go through that death, whatever is dying in you, when the real death happens in you, it will not be painful. Because, when the real death happens, you will see very clearly, “What is there to be afraid? There were so many times I felt the real death will be much better. What I thought will be much better is happening now. Let me look into it, go into it.” So, whenever you are excited to live, live that excitement. Whenever you will feel it is better to die, again, live that feeling, live that low mood, live that depression, live that suffering. When you live the excitement & suffering consciously, you will be prepared for life & death.

(06:20) Please understand, when you feel your purpose is being fulfilled, you are achieving success, success, success, success, success, so much of excitement about life is there. That excitement about life, if you handle it unconsciously, it is called “Rajas”. If you handle that with awareness, it is called “Satva”. Same way, when you are suffering, the name & fame is lost, wealth is lost, somebody is dying, or your own disease, you feel death is much better. At that moment, that fear, that shrinking feeling, if you handle that feeling unconsciously it is called “Tamas” - depression - low mood. If you handle the same feeling consciously it will become “Satva”, means, relaxing, retiring, solid peace in you.

(07:24) All the death which happens in you can lead you to peace. All the excitement which happens in you can lead you to bliss. Please understand, all the excitement which happens in you can lead you to bliss if you handle it with awareness. If you are unconsciously handling, it will only lead to joy, which is not permanent. All the low mood, retractive mood, can lead you to peace if you handle it with awareness. It will lead you to depression if handle with unawareness.

(08:06) Life, when it happens in you, with awareness - it is bliss, without awareness - it is only joy. Death, when it happens in you, with awareness - it is peace, without awareness - it is depression, pain. So, look in, when you are completely based at your bio-memory, centered at your bio-memory, means the purpose of life, meaning of life, even if you leave the body, it is not death, it is just continuity. If you are not at ease with the purpose, or meaning of the life, even if you think you are continuing, it will not be continuity. There will be enough of breaks. A small incident will be a big break.

(08:58) I have seen people feeling that their whole life is lost if they just they change their house. In India, generations, people live in the same houses! Forget about same village, same street... same houses! I have seen, for generations people live in the same house. Even if they change the house they feel their whole personality is shaken, life is shaken, it's almost like a death. It's almost like a death. Even a small change you cannot take it, if you don't know the purpose of life. If you are settled completely, completely settled on your bio-memory, even your body changing will not be a big change. If you are not settled with the purpose, even a small house changing will be a big change. Very beautifully, “Krishna” says, changing the body is nothing but changing the cloth. If you are settled in your bio-memory, purpose of life, changing the body will be just like changing the clothes. If you are not settled with the purpose of life, meaning of life, even changing cloth, will look like a changing body. I have seen many people, just changing simple dress, they will feel that whole life is changed, whole life is different. Please understand, it is how much you are centered on the purpose of your life, bio-memory of your life. Next Question

(10:29) Question: If two people are born at the same time, in the same circumstances, like twins, do they share a common purpose ? Answer: No! Please understand, No! Two bodies enter the cosmos at the same time, that does not mean, two of them carry same soul. No! It is different souls will be reflecting on two different bodies. So, naturally, the purpose will be different. That is why twins, they live totally different life, different kind of taste, different lifestyle, everything is different. So, it is not true that they share a common purpose. Next Question

(11:16) Question: I feel there is a larger purpose to my life than what I am living now, but I am unable to define what it is ? Answer: This is the beautiful space you are in. Means, the seed is about to open, but there is little insecurity - “Will I become tree or will I die?” This zone is what I call super active brain. Please understand, some time you will feel your brain is super active. In so many zones it is working, but, you do not know, what is exactly the purpose, what is exactly the meaning. This super active people are moving towards enlightenment. First level, your body & mind feels, “Okay, okay. Everything is going well. The second level, suddenly your mind feels too alive and active & your body does not feel that it will be able to cope up with that mind, and after sometime, not only your mind explodes, your body also explodes. Both of them feel that they are in tune and they can cope up with each other; they are expressing their best. That is enlightenment zone.

(12:43) So, understand, you are in the second level. You are in the second level. You know there is a larger purpose to your life. But, you are unable to define what it is. So, at these moments all you need to do - allow your super active mind to act. Just help your body to cope up with your mind. Do more meditations related to body and bio-memory like yoga, physical techniques. Don’t work on mind. Don’t do techniques related to mind. Do some meditations techniques related to gross body. Being physical, you will see, you are be able to cope up with the mind. Your body, your body, physical bio-memory will be able to internalize the purpose, higher purpose of your life which is already smelled by your mind, by your super active mind which already your super active mind has started feeling or getting feelers. Next Question

(13:58) Question: Can you please clarify the term bio-memory? Does it relate to the body or mind? Answer: Understand, word bio-memory relates to body & mind both. Bio, relates to body, memory relates to mind. The mind, which is rooted in your muscles, in your body. I can say, there is a part of bio-memory which is physical, there is a part of bio-memory which is mental. The mental bio-memory becomes physical with more & more action. The physical bio-memory becomes mental the same way by more & more thinking. If the mental bio-memory is repeated again & again through the physical activity, the body cooperates it. It becomes physical bio-memory. If the physical bio-memory thinks or again & again contemplated, meditated upon, thought through, explored, that becomes mental bio-memory. Mental bio-memory & physical bio-memory falling in tune is Jeevan Mukti. Please understand, there is a very powerful technique by Buddha, it's called Vipassana. This is the technique directly to connect your mental bio-memory & physical bio-memory. Just working, working on breathing, working on breath. Your breathing connects your mind & body.

(15:46) See, the subtle breathing is mind. Physical mind is breathing. So inner thinking, whatever goes on inside, when it expresses itself outside, it's breathing. Whatever breathing is happening outside, what it does inside, is thinking. I can say, inner breathing is thinking, outer thinking is breathing. So, this two are very closely connected. Buddha gives a very powerful technique to make your mental bio-memory, physical bio-memory, in tune with each other. In, just to create synchronicity, to make both in fall in tune with each other. The Vipassana technique... it's a very powerful process. If you can work with Vipassana, I will explain, it's a very simple technique. All you need to do is, be aware of your physical movement, breathing movement, & mental movement. That's all. Very simple technique. Sit as long as you can, being aware of physical movements - like a belly going up & down, and breathing - going in, turning, going out, turning. Same way mental movement - whatever is happening inside. just be, just see. Be aware of this three: Physical, breathing & mental. This powerful method Vipassana makes your mental bio-memory, physical bio-memory in tune with each other. So, bio-memory is physical & mental. It's a strong connection between these two. Thank you.

(17:49)
